I would like to pursue a combined MD/PhD degree because I want to work in both clinical and
laboratory settings studying the mechanisms of disease. My ideal path would be acquiring an
MD along with a doctorate in the neurosciences, but I am also interested in biochemistry and
pathology as well as a few others. I believe the experience gained obtaining a dual degree would
increase my understanding in whichever specialty I choose and build skills related to research like

Mechanical Engineering at Bristol University. In constantly changing environments ranging from
space travel to automobile manufacture, there is no doubt that Mechanical Engineering is vital in
our modern live. I want to attain the highest level of education and transcend new scope for research
in Mechanical Engineering.
I personally feel that there is substantial cachet to be gained by pursuing the field of Mechanical

My role to ensure the programmes offered by the department are runs accordance to the standard by
Malaysian Qualification Agency. I am also participated in several activities in and out of my main
duties as a lecturer such as supervised student's project and community service. The most recent one,
I lead to organized the technical writing workshop participated by final year student to help the
student in their projects reports. I am also participate in several professional course provided by my
polytechnic such as Occupational Safety and Health, AUTOCAD, CATIA, Non Destructive Test,
Management Course, pedagogy course and etc.
Teaching the material technology course for more than years, have aspired me to the solid mechanic
one of the mechanical engineering branch. One of the sub topics in this course are related to the
failure of the materials due to fracture, fatigue and creep. It is very interesting topic which describes
the mechanisms for the materials and component deformation and fracture under load. Failure of the
materials can have major negative consequence, including serious injury or loss and substantial
economic loss. Therefore, by understanding this failure phenomenon it will improve and enhance the
life of the component and engineering structure. I have a strong desire to be involved in these
exciting research and to help come up with practical solutions to the challenges that industrial face.
