My Family : A Family
From this class I have learned that my family may not be as dysfunctional as I thought. There are
many families out there with crazy combinations of who and what makes up their family. 1/3 of
people who married have also been divorced before and people normally repartner within 3ā€“5 years.
The United States has one of the highest divorce rates, only Russia has a higher rate. My family is
made up of my paternal and maternal biological families, my step father 's family and some of my
step mother 's, along with my adoptive family. I have been adopted on my father 's side twice and
some of their family still consider me family even though I don 't associate with either of my
adoptive father 's anymore.
So being adopted twice I have had three different last names and people still remember me by
other last names not necessarily the one I currently have. Many people do not understand how I
can only have been half adopted or only adopted on my father 's side and always have the same
mother. Explaining my family to someone else has always been hard, but taking this class I know
have learned some of the stats of divorce, repartnering, and remarriage after divorce which has
helped me. I think to be able to explain your family to someone else when it 's as complicated as
mine you need some understanding of family.
My family is broken into two households, my mother 's and my father 's. But for both of the
households the male (my father 's) are the head of the households, they are the

No one can't meet a family like mine's. My family is well diversified. Every family member plays
an important role in all my family's lives. In my family, there are four people: my father, my
mother, my little brother and me. My father is one who brings money home and is also responsible
for organizing and planning family trips. My mother is the one who is in charge for making meals
and makes sure everyone eats at the appropriate times. My little brother is the pet of the family. He
actually doesn't have any responsibilities, for he's the pet. I am the rock of support in my family. I

Doing what my parents tell me to do is just one of many reasons why I am a rock of support for
my family. Not only do I support my parents, but I also support my younger cousins and brother.
As an eldest brother and cousin, I feel I must be a good example for the young ones. There are
numerous methods of showing my cousins and brother support. One main way is by providing
advice on making the right choices. For example my brother had a problem at school with one of
his classmates. As a mature and responsible older brother, I advised him to use the nonā€“violent
approach. I told him to go discuss the problem and try to resolve it peacefully. My brother then
asked me why he shouldn't fight his classmate. I explained how violence is the answer to
anything. I advised him to first talk to his classmate in a professional manner. If then things get
out of hand, I told him to let the teacher know the situation. In the end, my brother didn't need to
get the teacher involved. In fact, their conflict was resolved by talking through with each other. I
also am very supportive of my little cousins. One way I help them out is by tutoring them once in
a while. They come over to my house and I assist them with their school work. Not only I help my
cousins with their homework, but I also support them recreationally. I play various sports and
activities with them. As their older cousin/brother, I feel I should be a good role model to follow. I
am also known for being there

Who I Am My Family? Essay

I have always been curious of how different my family and my life would've been if my parents

my father or any of his family. From which side of my family did I inherit the most of my genes?

My grandparents have four children: my two uncles, my aunt, and my mother. I remember a time

The Story Of My Family
The story of my family is one that I do not tell often. Although my entire family may not be in
agreement at all ties, I know that there is a purpose for every single person in my family; there is
a reason that I have the ties I do. Each person and each event builds on the continuous story of my
life. Each new day is another chance to embark upon a journey that has the potential to change my
life forever. Every time I see my parents, I tell them that I love them. Life itself is so fragile, and
we never know what is in store for the future. When I think of my family narrative, I think of
courage, resilience, love, compassion, joy, difficulty, and many more emotions and reactions. This
is the story of my family as it relates to Marriage and Families today.
My parents were married on January 15, 1994. They have been married for 22 years now, and the
beginning of my family was signified on that day. My parents were married for 2 years before
having their first child. Twenty years later, I am still their only child. My mother's pregnancy with
me was filled with stress and unexpected turns. I was born prematurely at two pounds and twelve
ounces; an entire two months prematurely. My mom had to stay with me in the hospital for months
because I developed jaundice and other conditions that deteriorated my health. The problems did
not end there, however. I would love to believe that racism and colorism are not issues anymore, but
sadly they are even today. The sight of my pale skin led

I was born into a "happy" family that was actually a web of lies, which unfolded itself through a
divorce. My parents' marriage was based on the fact that my father needed a permanent residency
card to stay in the United States. Some people may view this as a devastating event; however I
have chosen to embrace being an American and a Ghanaian. Coming from two different
backgrounds was a challenge, because of the different values and morals each share. These
challenges have left me to understand my true purpose concerning my two cultures. I feel fortunate
enough to grow up with two different aspects on life itself. Throughout life I was considered to be

Such as attending a public college or becoming President of the United States. Education has
therefore played an important role in my life and has been highly valued in my family.
While the expectations of my American and Ghanaian family members were so high, their
affirmation was not always there. As a child of divorced parents, my mother raised and supported
me. My father was always there mentally, emotionally, and physically, but I was financially fully
dependent on my mother. Although she had an education, we still struggled. Sometimes we
didn't know where our next meal was coming from and had to rely on others. We moved several
times while I was growing up and at times, I would be left at a relative's house because of my
mother's need to get us financially stable. Things improved, I remained committed to working
hard in school, and the expectations never changed. Education has brought me, given me, and
gifted me with empowerment, leadership, confidence; greater understanding of social issues and
tools to work towards social justice. As many educators say, education is the key to success. I
believe that not only is it the key to success, but it's also the key to happiness. College will help
me meet my high education and career expectations that I have for myself which is to ultimately
get my Professional degree, and make a global difference. It will also help to meet my families as
well. College will help me

My Family Structure
I grew up in a nuclear family. There are four people in my family, consists of my father, mother,
my sister and me. My father is 62 years old. He's working as a insurance agent. My mother is 10
years younger than my father. She used to work as a store manager before she gave birth to me.
She quitted her job in order to take care of me and my sister because she believes that the mother
daughter bond can grow stronger day by day by spending time with us. My sisters and I are four
years apart. She is currently studying in Tsun Jin Independent School. Even though we fought a lot
growing, got mad at each other, but she is still my one and only sister and that's all that matters. I
think is normal for siblings to fight despite the age difference...show more content...
I am also aware of my role as a student, studying and doing the best I can to score in my exams so
that in the future I may provide a higher living standard to my family. For my sister, apart from also
being a student like myself, she basically carries the role of the helper at home. Unlike myself, she
spends a lot of time at home with mom while I'm out doing assignments and juggling college life.
By spending a lot of time at home, she spends more time with my mom, helping her with house
chores. With all these roles, comes rules as well, my parents have always given my sister and I
curfews. It is understandable because of all the crime rates shooting sky high these days, our parents
just wants us to be safe. Another important rule set by my parents is that all family members must
have dinner together. This is so that all of us can have our bonding time as a family. Communication
is the knot that ties it all and it is no doubt the most important thing needed in any kind of
relationship. For my family, the communication methods that we practice are pretty much very
decent. My parents, after years and years of being together, they can understand each other very
well. They can understand each other without even saying a word, just a face expression would do.
My parents communicate differently as compared to when they communicate with my sister and
myself. This is because of the hieratical

My Day With My Family
I believe that I feel the most comfortable when I am home with my family. Any activity we do
together is amazing. Whether it's watching a movie together, having dinner, or having something
to talk about. There is always a time of the day where we just have a good laugh about something
that happened throughout the day. I know my family will always be there for me and I will do
the same for them. I believe that I am blessed to have such a loving, caring, and compassionate
family. I believe when times are tough, my family is my true comfort. Even if it's the smallest
thing like a headache or stomachache I feel better with just my mom doing anything for me to
feel better. I don't need medicine to heal the smallest pains; all I need is my family's love. I've
never looked at another family and thought, "wow they have an amazing relationship, i am
jealous". Sometimes I do the opposite because I never had thought wrong about my family even
when we're aggravated sometimes. I remember during the summer we would have a cookout
every single Saturday and Sunday. We would all get together and have my dads "special asadas".
Which are a special steak well done with allot of lime and spices. We would sit there for hours eating
and having a beer. We would call close friends that we even call family. I believe there is no perfect
life or perfect family. I believe my family will overcome anything that causes pain or misery. I

My Family Essay
Family, when you hear that word what do you think? Most people will think of their siblings or
parents, but family is more than that. A family is the people that help you grow up, learn, live, and
much more. Your family is filled with people that we love the most and they create memories that
last a lifetime.
Your family consists of a lot of people. Whether you are an only child or you have ten siblings
your family, a family has a great number of people. First let's start with the people at the very top
of the family tree, your grandparents. Your grandparents are your mom or dad's, parents. You
would probably call them grandma and grandpa. After grandparents, we come to your mom and
dad, your parents. They are the people that gave you life and help you become a great person.
Next in the family tree is you and your brothers and or sisters. Then as generations go on there will
be more added to your family tree.
Family can be frustrating you might just want to walk out of the house and get away from your
family for a while, but you will soon realize that you love them dearly. The people in your family
are the people you will always be with both physically and spiritually. They help you when you are
sad and make sure that you are happy all the time because they love you. And they help you get a
good education because they want the best for you.
Depending on your religion your family may celebrate some traditions that include the family to
celebrate all together. Even if parts

We all have grandparents, but mine is an especially are a big part of my family. Our grandparents
do not live close to us, so it's great when we get to see them. It's especially tough since our family is
so far apart. Family is the most important thing in our family. This time was an especially important
to our family for a number of reasons. We had just left our home in Rockwell City, Iowa to head to
Des Moines to board a plane to Phoenix. My brother had never flown before. He said, "I can't wait
to take off." We went through all of the security and had put all our luggage onto the plane. We

We arrived at the stadium a couple hours before the start of the game. We got to go down onto the
court for a little while since we had pregame court passes. We watched the teams warm up for a
little bit and got a couple high fives from the players, and then we decided to go back up to our
box about fifteen minutes before the game started. We watched the game as the two teams went
back and forth till halftime. It was a great game since both teams had made deep runs into the
playoffs. We ordered some food before the action resumed in the second half. As the action resumed
the debates kept going on as the game was going on. The game ended with Bell sinking two free
throws to end the game and the home team won the game. We left the arena and headed back to their
house.
We all really enjoyed our time at the suns game and my grandpa decided that he wanted to go to
his all time favorite sports and that was baseball. He had played minor league baseball for ten
years, but never made it to the major leagues. He still loved the game of baseball more than
anything so we were going to go to a spring training game. We went the next day and walked into
the stadium while the players warmed up for the game. We watched the game as he told us of
experiences he's had playing the game and why it meant so much to him. He told us stories of his
childhood. As the game was close to being

Over the past years of my life, many things have changed, including my friends, lifestyle, religious
beliefs and jobs. With everything constantly changing around me, there is one thing that has always
stayed the same: my family. When I think about my most blissful moments in life, they all involve
my family. My relationship with my parents, brother, husband and children is something that I learn
to treasure more and more every day. There are many significant things in my life, but the most
important relationship to me is family.
My family can bring out the best and worst in me. Although you cannot choose your family, they are
the people I can relate to the most. My family, they are my cheerleaders, always cheering me on
wanting only the best for me. At this present time my family has made me who I am today. Without
my dad pushing me to excel in life or my brother forcing me to apply to Springfield College, I
would not be where I am today. They have challenged me, loved me and made me a better person.
They have guided me through life and have constantly been my number one fans in all of my life
decisions.
There has never once been a moment in my life where my family was not there when I needed
them. They have been there with me through my best times, worst times and times where I did not
think I had anyone. As I got older, the more I come to the realization that people who say they will
always be there for you are not always there for you. But if it is two in the morning or

My Greatest Accomplishment : My Family
My Greatest Accomplishment My Family Traditions come and go, but some may never change.
Most families attempt to keep their traditions alive in their family, whether is it be to do something
small like names or something major such as huge celebrations for certain holidays. A tradition that
numerous of families seems to keep around, no matter their religion or country, is family dinners on a
set day. This allows the families to spend this day with each other, learning how everyone's week
is going, if there is anything that needs done, or if there is any positive or negative news. A local
family has a traditional family night dinner on Sundays. They keep in touch throughout the week,
but on Sundays they are able to see each other face to face. Slowly, the three girls, Emily,
Samantha, and Allison, are taking over cooking the meals. Their parents, grandparents, and
uncles are all pitching in to help the girls learn how to properly cook various foods such as
hulushki, halupki, homemade pasta, and desserts like cannolis. They are keeping with the
tradition of making food to represent their heritage of being Polish and Italian. Other ways the
Zaremba's represent their Italian heritage is by having the Feast of Seven Fish before Christmas.
This tradition is to have seven dishes of fish for Christmas Eve dinner; the fish can vary from type
of fish or if it is cooked in a certain way. Also "fish" entitles all seafood not just fish. This
symbolizes a healthy Christmas. You are required to fast, not eat, the week before ridding yourself of
harmful ingredients like too much sugar.
Birth Announcement Denise and Chris Zaremba welcomed their third daughter into the world at
4:51 pm September 29, 2001. She weighed 7lbs and 9 oz. Her sisters aren't the happiest about
having to deal with a younger sibling, but the rest of the family is astounded to have another baby in
the family.

Anybody who knows me, knows that my family situation is pretty crazy. Just describing my
immediate family sometimes baffles people and leads me into having to explain in more detail the
constitution of my family. For starters, My mother came from the Philippines and my Dad is
currently 77. Let's dive into the details of my family.
The category my immediate family best fits into is a blended family. Mainly because of my
father. He has remarried 3 times but has finally settled down with my mother. He has 2 sons with
his ex wife which makes them my half brothers. Since my Dad is 77, my brothers are in their late
40's so it's pretty difficult to explain to people my brothers ages. What is even more shocking to
people is that both of my half brothers have children. Both of which are older than me. The look
on people's faces when I tell them that I am an uncle with nieces that are both a year older than
me is amusing. However, what I consider my immediate family, my mom and my dad, we are a
isolated nuclear two earner family if you could combine the two. My mother has never had a
divorce and has been with my father for 23 years now. They are both great, supportive, and loving
parents.
In my family, there is definitely a solidified instrumental family role. It lays within my dad.
Although me and him collaborate when making decisions for the household, he is usually the man
of the house. He is the breadwinner in the family as he owns how own automobile shop for over 50
years. The

Ever since I was born my mother has been supporting our family all by herself. She so often asked
for help from family members and friends, but ultimately she was the one holding our family
together. When I was younger, I never actually understood how bad my mother was struggling to
keep our family together. I've never seen her cry, or break down over the stress she is under. I
always thought my life was great until I got older and started realizing that there's more to the story.
I'm very grateful to have everything that I have, but it's not the same when I see others with a better.
Now that I'm older I feel as if my mother's financial stability has gotten worse over the years, and
it's noticeable. Every time I need money for an activity or anything else she never seems to have the
money. I'll get very frustrated, but then move on from the situation because I know in my heart that
she's trying to juggle more than she can handle in her life. I've cried a few, but not enough to where
my mother will realize I'm upset with her.
Most days in my high school years, I would go over to my friend's house, and out with their family's.
Honestly, I love seeing how my friends household operates to differently than mine.I would

My Family And My Life
When I was 8, my family and I lived in small house in the city town. Our life was a little bit hard,
everyone in the family is always busy, my mom went to work most of the time and my dad, too.
My sister and me we both have school during the day and tutoring class after school. Sometimes, I
only see my mom twice a week even though she is home everyday at midnight because of her
busy work. My dad is in charged of taking me to school and picking me up after tutoring class, but
he also have his job, he have to get everything in schedule in order to get everything in fit. On
weekend, I am alone by myself at home or sometimes I go to my friend house and stayed there
throughout the week. That was how our life was until my family got into a situation that I was
thinking it is going to be bad, but it came out that I have learned a wonderful life lesson.
One day I came home from school and put my backpack on the hanger, slowly walk into the
kitchen where my mom is making food for our family dinner. I sat down and say "Hi mom, I'm

It was very difficult for me to accept the reality that I can't have the life I had in India. So, that
transformation of the new lifestyle was extremely hard. Holy Family University also states, "A

the time we moved to America is the lack of communication because of the busy lifestyle here.
Most of the nights we go to bed without seeing or talk to each other. But, on Saturdays and

Nepalese people speak Nepali language in common. Except the common language, there are various

examples of successful females, and my own personal experiences with unflagging women. After
a while, I began really enjoying and reveling in these often occurring, heated discussions. I even
began seeking them out. This game of bait and catch that I played, however, left me with few
friends and even fewer minds changed. It was in my freshman English class that I had a
revelation during one of our class discussions. The teacher had asked us to pick the gender that
we viewed as the better one and walk to the wall designated to that specific sex, and I was furious.
I stood up, when it was time to pick our side and watched every single one of my classmates
saunter over to the wall assigned to the male gender. As each kid took their spot against the wall, I
sat down in my desk located in the middle of the room. This caused my teacher some concern. As
my confused teacher approached my desk, I grew more and more incandescent. She proceeded to ask

When I Was Born Into A Close Family
I was born into a very close family. For three years it was just my parents and me; later my sister
came along. The most important thing to me with my family is how close we are. I have always
felt that I can tell my mom, dad, or sister anything that has happened in my life. We have always
been very honest and open to each other. I have always gotten along with my parents. My dad is a
stock broker and this past year I interned in his office. I wasn't a huge fan of being in an office taking
calls most the day; that career path is probably not in my future. My mom used to be an interior
designer before we moved from New York City to Park City, Utah. She now mostly spends her time
hiking, biking, and going to the gym. My sister and I have always gotten along very well, she also
plays lacrosse and aspires to play in college as well. Growing up, my family would take having
dinner together very serious. Most of the time my mom would cook, or we would go out. Ideally,
my parents would want us to be there, if we couldn't make it to dinner, my mom would want at
least two hours notice. About 15 minutes before dinner, my sister or I would set the table.
Whoever wasn't setting the table would feed the dogs, and lock them in the mud room. If we don't
lock them up, they will bother us for food. The final step before sitting at the table, was filling the
waters. We would only fill three waters, because my mom refuses to drink water at dinner as she
thinks it is too close

My Family Essays

  • 1. My Family : A Family From this class I have learned that my family may not be as dysfunctional as I thought. There are many families out there with crazy combinations of who and what makes up their family. 1/3 of people who married have also been divorced before and people normally repartner within 3ā€“5 years. The United States has one of the highest divorce rates, only Russia has a higher rate. My family is made up of my paternal and maternal biological families, my step father 's family and some of my step mother 's, along with my adoptive family. I have been adopted on my father 's side twice and some of their family still consider me family even though I don 't associate with either of my adoptive father 's anymore. So being adopted twice I have had three different last names and people still remember me by other last names not necessarily the one I currently have. Many people do not understand how I can only have been half adopted or only adopted on my father 's side and always have the same mother. Explaining my family to someone else has always been hard, but taking this class I know have learned some of the stats of divorce, repartnering, and remarriage after divorce which has helped me. I think to be able to explain your family to someone else when it 's as complicated as mine you need some understanding of family. My family is broken into two households, my mother 's and my father 's. But for both of the households the male (my father 's) are the head of the households, they are the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. My Family Essay No one can't meet a family like mine's. My family is well diversified. Every family member plays an important role in all my family's lives. In my family, there are four people: my father, my mother, my little brother and me. My father is one who brings money home and is also responsible for organizing and planning family trips. My mother is the one who is in charge for making meals and makes sure everyone eats at the appropriate times. My little brother is the pet of the family. He actually doesn't have any responsibilities, for he's the pet. I am the rock of support in my family. I always go beyond my parents' expectations. I also support my younger cousins and little brother, by being a role model that they can look up to. Another...show more content... Doing what my parents tell me to do is just one of many reasons why I am a rock of support for my family. Not only do I support my parents, but I also support my younger cousins and brother. As an eldest brother and cousin, I feel I must be a good example for the young ones. There are numerous methods of showing my cousins and brother support. One main way is by providing advice on making the right choices. For example my brother had a problem at school with one of his classmates. As a mature and responsible older brother, I advised him to use the nonā€“violent approach. I told him to go discuss the problem and try to resolve it peacefully. My brother then asked me why he shouldn't fight his classmate. I explained how violence is the answer to anything. I advised him to first talk to his classmate in a professional manner. If then things get out of hand, I told him to let the teacher know the situation. In the end, my brother didn't need to get the teacher involved. In fact, their conflict was resolved by talking through with each other. I also am very supportive of my little cousins. One way I help them out is by tutoring them once in a while. They come over to my house and I assist them with their school work. Not only I help my cousins with their homework, but I also support them recreationally. I play various sports and activities with them. As their older cousin/brother, I feel I should be a good role model to follow. I am also known for being there Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Essay When I think about who I am in my family, I think about my experiences, good and bad, that has made me who I To begin with, my parents divorced when I was just a toddler, so my consists of the maternal side of the tree; they're too loud, too proud, and full of chaos, but I 'm sure that all families have brown spotsā€“don't they? When is a family considered dysfunctional? Is there some secret sauce that makes up a functional family? I have always been curious of how different my family and my life would've been if my parents had a better marriage. I was only three when they divorced, so I missed the opportunity to know my father or any of his family. From which side of my family did I inherit the most of my genes? Most of my mom 's side is loud and hateful. I'm more alike my grandparents; I'm a calm individual and don't enjoy being around draining negativity, but that's all my family consists of anymore. My grandparents have four children: my two uncles, my aunt, and my mother. I remember a time when my family would often getā€“together at my aunts house. They'd listen to music, play cards (usually pinochle) and just have a good time enjoying each others company. My cousin Danielle had an attic bedroom. She's seven years older than me, so we weren't close when I was an annoying fiveā€“year old. As soon as my hand would touch her doorknob, she 'd yell "You're not coming in my room Jessica!". It seemed like every time we visited, she 'd always have one of her friends with her and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. The Story Of My Family The story of my family is one that I do not tell often. Although my entire family may not be in agreement at all ties, I know that there is a purpose for every single person in my family; there is a reason that I have the ties I do. Each person and each event builds on the continuous story of my life. Each new day is another chance to embark upon a journey that has the potential to change my life forever. Every time I see my parents, I tell them that I love them. Life itself is so fragile, and we never know what is in store for the future. When I think of my family narrative, I think of courage, resilience, love, compassion, joy, difficulty, and many more emotions and reactions. This is the story of my family as it relates to Marriage and Families today. My parents were married on January 15, 1994. They have been married for 22 years now, and the beginning of my family was signified on that day. My parents were married for 2 years before having their first child. Twenty years later, I am still their only child. My mother's pregnancy with me was filled with stress and unexpected turns. I was born prematurely at two pounds and twelve ounces; an entire two months prematurely. My mom had to stay with me in the hospital for months because I developed jaundice and other conditions that deteriorated my health. The problems did not end there, however. I would love to believe that racism and colorism are not issues anymore, but sadly they are even today. The sight of my pale skin led Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. My Family Essay examples I was born into a "happy" family that was actually a web of lies, which unfolded itself through a divorce. My parents' marriage was based on the fact that my father needed a permanent residency card to stay in the United States. Some people may view this as a devastating event; however I have chosen to embrace being an American and a Ghanaian. Coming from two different backgrounds was a challenge, because of the different values and morals each share. These challenges have left me to understand my true purpose concerning my two cultures. I feel fortunate enough to grow up with two different aspects on life itself. Throughout life I was considered to be the "one" on both sides of my families. I was the one who was supposed to accomplish...show more content... Such as attending a public college or becoming President of the United States. Education has therefore played an important role in my life and has been highly valued in my family. While the expectations of my American and Ghanaian family members were so high, their affirmation was not always there. As a child of divorced parents, my mother raised and supported me. My father was always there mentally, emotionally, and physically, but I was financially fully dependent on my mother. Although she had an education, we still struggled. Sometimes we didn't know where our next meal was coming from and had to rely on others. We moved several times while I was growing up and at times, I would be left at a relative's house because of my mother's need to get us financially stable. Things improved, I remained committed to working hard in school, and the expectations never changed. Education has brought me, given me, and gifted me with empowerment, leadership, confidence; greater understanding of social issues and tools to work towards social justice. As many educators say, education is the key to success. I believe that not only is it the key to success, but it's also the key to happiness. College will help me meet my high education and career expectations that I have for myself which is to ultimately get my Professional degree, and make a global difference. It will also help to meet my families as well. College will help me Get more content on HelpWriting.net

He's working as a insurance agent. My mother is 10 years younger than my father. She used to work as a store manager before she gave birth to me. She quitted her job in order to take care of me and my sister because she believes that the mother daughter bond can grow stronger day by day by spending time with us. My sisters and I are four years apart. She is currently studying in Tsun Jin Independent School. I am also aware of my role as a student, studying and doing the best I can to score in my exams so that in the future I may provide a higher living standard to my family. For my sister, apart from also being a student like myself, she basically carries the role of the helper at home. Unlike myself, she spends a lot of time at home with mom while I'm out doing assignments and juggling college life. By spending a lot of time at home, she spends more time with my mom, helping her with house chores. With all these roles, comes rules as well, my parents have always given my sister and I curfews. It is understandable because of all the crime rates shooting sky high these days, our parents just wants us to be safe. Another important rule set by my parents is that all family members must have dinner together. This is so that all of us can have our bonding time as a family. Communication is the knot that ties it all and it is no doubt the most important thing needed in any kind of relationship. For my family, the communication methods that we practice are pretty much very decent. My parents, after years and years of being together, they can understand each other very well. They can understand each other without even saying a word, just a face expression would do. My parents communicate differently as compared to when they communicate with my sister and myself. This is because of the hieratical Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. My Day With My Family I believe that I feel the most comfortable when I am home with my family. Any activity we do together is amazing. Whether it's watching a movie together, having dinner, or having something to talk about. There is always a time of the day where we just have a good laugh about something that happened throughout the day. I know my family will always be there for me and I will do the same for them. I believe that I am blessed to have such a loving, caring, and compassionate family. I believe when times are tough, my family is my true comfort. Even if it's the smallest thing like a headache or stomachache I feel better with just my mom doing anything for me to feel better. I don't need medicine to heal the smallest pains; all I need is my family's love. I've never looked at another family and thought, "wow they have an amazing relationship, i am jealous". Sometimes I do the opposite because I never had thought wrong about my family even when we're aggravated sometimes. I remember during the summer we would have a cookout every single Saturday and Sunday. We would all get together and have my dads "special asadas". Which are a special steak well done with allot of lime and spices. We would sit there for hours eating and having a beer. We would call close friends that we even call family. I believe there is no perfect life or perfect family. I believe my family will overcome anything that causes pain or misery. • 8. My Family Essay Family, when you hear that word what do you think? Most people will think of their siblings or parents, but family is more than that. A family is the people that help you grow up, learn, live, and much more. Your family is filled with people that we love the most and they create memories that last a lifetime. Your family consists of a lot of people. Whether you are an only child or you have ten siblings your family, a family has a great number of people. First let's start with the people at the very top of the family tree, your grandparents. Your grandparents are your mom or dad's, parents. You would probably call them grandma and grandpa. After grandparents, we come to your mom and dad, your parents. They are the people that gave you life and help you become a great person. Next in the family tree is you and your brothers and or sisters. Then as generations go on there will be more added to your family tree. Family can be frustrating you might just want to walk out of the house and get away from your family for a while, but you will soon realize that you love them dearly. The people in your family are the people you will always be with both physically and spiritually. They help you when you are sad and make sure that you are happy all the time because they love you. And they help you get a good education because they want the best for you. Depending on your religion your family may celebrate some traditions that include the family to celebrate all together. It's especially tough since our family is so far apart. Family is the most important thing in our family. This time was an especially important to our family for a number of reasons. We had just left our home in Rockwell City, Iowa to head to Des Moines to board a plane to Phoenix. My brother had never flown before. He said, "I can't wait to take off." We got to go down onto the court for a little while since we had pregame court passes. We watched the teams warm up for a little bit and got a couple high fives from the players, and then we decided to go back up to our box about fifteen minutes before the game started. We watched the game as the two teams went back and forth till halftime. It was a great game since both teams had made deep runs into the playoffs. We ordered some food before the action resumed in the second half. As the action resumed the debates kept going on as the game was going on. The game ended with Bell sinking two free throws to end the game and the home team won the game. We left the arena and headed back to their house. We all really enjoyed our time at the suns game and my grandpa decided that he wanted to go to his all time favorite sports and that was baseball. He had played minor league baseball for ten years, but never made it to the major leagues. He still loved the game of baseball more than anything so we were going to go to a spring training game. We went the next day and walked into the stadium while the players warmed up for the game. We watched the game as he told us of experiences he's had playing the game and why it meant so much to him. • 10. My Family Essay Over the past years of my life, many things have changed, including my friends, lifestyle, religious beliefs and jobs. With everything constantly changing around me, there is one thing that has always stayed the same: my family. When I think about my most blissful moments in life, they all involve my family. My relationship with my parents, brother, husband and children is something that I learn to treasure more and more every day. There are many significant things in my life, but the most important relationship to me is family. My family can bring out the best and worst in me. Although you cannot choose your family, they are the people I can relate to the most. My family, they are my cheerleaders, always cheering me on wanting only the best for me. At this present time my family has made me who I am today. Without my dad pushing me to excel in life or my brother forcing me to apply to Springfield College, I would not be where I am today. They have challenged me, loved me and made me a better person. They have guided me through life and have constantly been my number one fans in all of my life decisions. There has never once been a moment in my life where my family was not there when I needed them. They have been there with me through my best times, worst times and times where I did not think I had anyone. As I got older, the more I come to the realization that people who say they will always be there for you are not always there for you. • 11. My Greatest Accomplishment : My Family My Greatest Accomplishment My Family Traditions come and go, but some may never change. Most families attempt to keep their traditions alive in their family, whether is it be to do something small like names or something major such as huge celebrations for certain holidays. A tradition that numerous of families seems to keep around, no matter their religion or country, is family dinners on a set day. This allows the families to spend this day with each other, learning how everyone's week is going, if there is anything that needs done, or if there is any positive or negative news. A local family has a traditional family night dinner on Sundays. They keep in touch throughout the week, but on Sundays they are able to see each other face to face. Slowly, the three girls, Emily, Samantha, and Allison, are taking over cooking the meals. Their parents, grandparents, and uncles are all pitching in to help the girls learn how to properly cook various foods such as hulushki, halupki, homemade pasta, and desserts like cannolis. They are keeping with the tradition of making food to represent their heritage of being Polish and Italian. Other ways the Zaremba's represent their Italian heritage is by having the Feast of Seven Fish before Christmas. This tradition is to have seven dishes of fish for Christmas Eve dinner; the fish can vary from type of fish or if it is cooked in a certain way. Also "fish" entitles all seafood not just fish. • 12. My Family Essay Anybody who knows me, knows that my family situation is pretty crazy. Just describing my immediate family sometimes baffles people and leads me into having to explain in more detail the constitution of my family. For starters, My mother came from the Philippines and my Dad is currently 77. Let's dive into the details of my family. The category my immediate family best fits into is a blended family. Mainly because of my father. He has remarried 3 times but has finally settled down with my mother. He has 2 sons with his ex wife which makes them my half brothers. Since my Dad is 77, my brothers are in their late 40's so it's pretty difficult to explain to people my brothers ages. What is even more shocking to people is that both of my half brothers have children. Both of which are older than me. The look on people's faces when I tell them that I am an uncle with nieces that are both a year older than me is amusing. However, what I consider my immediate family, my mom and my dad, we are a isolated nuclear two earner family if you could combine the two. My mother has never had a divorce and has been with my father for 23 years now. They are both great, supportive, and loving parents. In my family, there is definitely a solidified instrumental family role. It lays within my dad. Although me and him collaborate when making decisions for the household, he is usually the man of the house. He is the breadwinner in the family as he owns how own automobile shop for over 50 years. • 13. My Family Essay Ever since I was born my mother has been supporting our family all by herself. She so often asked for help from family members and friends, but ultimately she was the one holding our family together. When I was younger, I never actually understood how bad my mother was struggling to keep our family together. I've never seen her cry, or break down over the stress she is under. I always thought my life was great until I got older and started realizing that there's more to the story. I'm very grateful to have everything that I have, but it's not the same when I see others with a better. Now that I'm older I feel as if my mother's financial stability has gotten worse over the years, and it's noticeable. Every time I need money for an activity or anything else she never seems to have the money. I'll get very frustrated, but then move on from the situation because I know in my heart that she's trying to juggle more than she can handle in her life. I've cried a few, but not enough to where my mother will realize I'm upset with her. Most days in my high school years, I would go over to my friend's house, and out with their family's. Honestly, I love seeing how my friends household operates to differently than mine.I would understand why because most of my friends included both a mother and father while mines only have a mother. In particular, one of my closest friends family. They are a loving family and is like a second family that I've been able to come to in need. Her family Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. My Family And My Life When I was 8, my family and I lived in small house in the city town. Our life was a little bit hard, everyone in the family is always busy, my mom went to work most of the time and my dad, too. My sister and me we both have school during the day and tutoring class after school. Sometimes, I only see my mom twice a week even though she is home everyday at midnight because of her busy work. My dad is in charged of taking me to school and picking me up after tutoring class, but he also have his job, he have to get everything in schedule in order to get everything in fit. On weekend, I am alone by myself at home or sometimes I go to my friend house and stayed there throughout the week. That was how our life was until my family got into a situation that I was thinking it is going to be bad, but it came out that I have learned a wonderful life lesson. One day I came home from school and put my backpack on the hanger, slowly walk into the kitchen where my mom is making food for our family dinner. I sat down and say "Hi mom, I'm home" with an excited but also tired voice. Then suddenly, she turns back and walk to me, sit down on the chair and asked "So, how was school school today, my dear? Did you have fun? What have you learned today?" with an lovely voice. "School was fine today, I learned a lot from all of my classes, but the most important thing that I have learned today was in my math class, my teacher taught me how to write an equation using a formula that can help me in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. My Family Essay I grew up in a small family in India. There were a plenty of things that I was able to learn from my family. I wouldn't be here, where I am now, without my family. Family defines the most important things in this world. Family is the place where everyone can learn and express the things they learn. I'm grateful for my family. But I still remember the time my parents told me that "we are going to America, the land of dreams." I was only thirteen years old then. All those years, I lived in my own country, and quickly moving to America was really hard for me. When I came to know this, it was really shocking to me, I couldn't stop thinking about my life in America. I never stopped to think about the people I was leaving behind, my companions,...show more content... Recollecting a moment without my family is hard because they were always there for me. I never had to solve a problem in my family due to it being so perfect for me. In a society, there would be many struggles and difficulties in families, but I believe family is something that holds us. It was very difficult for me to accept the reality that I can't have the life I had in India. So, that transformation of the new lifestyle was extremely hard. Holy Family University also states, "A community united by a common mission." Even though family should be united in one; my family wasn't able to stay unite because of the different lifestyle in America. But throughout this semester at Holy Family University, I am able to see how supportive and caring each faculty and staffs are. They are just a reflection of a family. The problem I am having with my family from the time we moved to America is the lack of communication because of the busy lifestyle here. Most of the nights we go to bed without seeing or talk to each other. But, on Saturdays and Sundays, thankfully, we try our best to give time for each other before going to bed. Societies are facing numerous divorces every day. I would say, the lack of communication is the main reason for all these divorces. Every generation has different concepts on everything and their lifestyle changes too. People go with the flow of the new ways of living that is followed by people around them. But I wouldn't encourage Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. My Family Essay My family is originated from Nepal. The people of Nepal are known as Nepalese or Nepali. Nepalese people speak Nepali language in common. Except the common language, there are various forms of languages from different culture and group of people. Going back to history, my family's ancestors are known for artists who painted or created different forms of meaningful architecture in the temple working with the noble family which signifies the nation present today. Among the different group of people, we consider ourselves as Newar who are one of the largest group of people in Kathmandu which is capital of Nepal and which is the origin of my family. As mentioned prior, all of my family members are originated from Nepal, each member has their own household activities to do. Usually, females tend to do household works and male is tended to work to look over the family however I had a different case because my family consists of large members and each person is dependent on themselves which is the reason why my mom worked and my dad as well excluding my uncles and aunts who followed the same pattern of husband and housewife. My grandfather and grandmother didn't do any work due to their age problems and as a family member, looking after them was a big part of responsibility. As for the Asian cultures, taking care of elderly is honorable as glory; paying back to parents of how they took care of their children when they were young is part of Karma what you give is what you get Get more content on HelpWriting.net

My family and I are different, there are families that don't share the same situation as having four adopted kids that are all spread apart in age. Yet my family and I push through that and we look past that, people don't understand they think that coming from different parents would divide us kids by thinking, "hey, you aren't my real brother " That kind of thing does not happen, if anything being from different parents brings us together because we are so different from each other we are curious to learn about each other. Some people see it as a tough thing to deal with and I see it as a blessing for my parents, my brothers, and myself to be unique in this way, and we have always been a religious family so we definitely believe that each one of us kids was a blessing to our parents. The sacrifice that they make everyday when the go to work to support four kids who they never owed anything, never had to call themselves our parents, but they took us in and called us their own and they are angels walking, for the wonderful impact they have had on the lives of me and my brothers. • 18. Who I Am My Family? Essay When I think about who I am in my family, I recall my experiences, good and bad, that has made me who I am today. To begin with, my parents divorced when I was a toddler, so my family consists of the maternal side of the tree; they're too loud, too proud, and full of drama, but I 'm sure that all families have brown spotsā€“don't they? When is a family considered dysfunctional? Is there some secret sauce that makes up a functional family? I have always been curious about how different my family and my life would've been if my parents had a better marriage. I was only three when they divorced, so I missed the opportunity to know my father or any of his family. Aside from my grandparents, mom 's side of the family is loud and hateful. I 'm calm and don't enjoy being around draining negativity, but anytime there's dissent, I 'm the mediator. I 've always been the release for my family's emotions, and mine is my grandparents. My grandparents have four children: my two uncles, my aunt, and my mother. I remember a time when my family would often getā€“together at my aunt's house. They'd listen to music, play cards (usually pinochle) and just have an enjoyable time in each others company. My cousin Danielle had an attic bedroom. I can still smell the wood floors as I'd creak my way up the narrow staircase that lead to her room. It seemed like every time we visited, she 'd always have one of her friends with her and I'd be left with my chin in my hand. She's seven years older than me, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. My Family Essay I have been fortunate enough to have grown up in a content and supportive family. My parents are still married, my grandparents, and even some great grandparents, survived to see me grow up, and I have a good relationship with my immediate and extended family. My family and my experiences with them have formed me into the person that I am today. Despite having an average, middle class, white picket fence life, my family is not as ordinary as they seem on the surface. The element of my family that has had the most impact on me and my character is the fact that most of my family is set up in a matriarchal fashion. In short, the women of my family are resolute, confident, and in charge. Although the women of my family are in...show more content... Despite these roadblocks, my self worth and determination was unshaken. Luckily for me, the lessons that I had learned in my family life provided a solid foundation for my character. During my first years at my Christian school, I readily imposed my opinions on gender equality into every debate or argument I stumbled upon. Ok, maybe it was more like the arguments and debates that I started. I showered my unlucky opponent with Bible verses supporting women, examples of successful females, and my own personal experiences with unflagging women. After a while, I began really enjoying and reveling in these often occurring, heated discussions. I even began seeking them out. This game of bait and catch that I played, however, left me with few friends and even fewer minds changed. It was in my freshman English class that I had a revelation during one of our class discussions. The teacher had asked us to pick the gender that we viewed as the better one and walk to the wall designated to that specific sex, and I was furious. I stood up, when it was time to pick our side and watched every single one of my classmates saunter over to the wall assigned to the male gender. As each kid took their spot against the wall, I sat down in my desk located in the middle of the room. This caused my teacher some concern. As my confused teacher approached my desk, I grew more and more incandescent. She proceeded to ask Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. When I Was Born Into A Close Family I was born into a very close family. For three years it was just my parents and me; later my sister came along. The most important thing to me with my family is how close we are. I have always felt that I can tell my mom, dad, or sister anything that has happened in my life. We have always been very honest and open to each other. I have always gotten along with my parents. My dad is a stock broker and this past year I interned in his office. I wasn't a huge fan of being in an office taking calls most the day; that career path is probably not in my future. My mom used to be an interior designer before we moved from New York City to Park City, Utah. She now mostly spends her time hiking, biking, and going to the gym. My sister and I have always gotten along very well, she also plays lacrosse and aspires to play in college as well. Growing up, my family would take having dinner together very serious. Most of the time my mom would cook, or we would go out. Ideally, my parents would want us to be there, if we couldn't make it to dinner, my mom would want at least two hours notice. About 15 minutes before dinner, my sister or I would set the table. Whoever wasn't setting the table would feed the dogs, and lock them in the mud room. If we don't lock them up, they will bother us for food. The final step before sitting at the table, was filling the waters. We would only fill three waters, because my mom refuses to drink water at dinner as she thinks it is too close Get more content on HelpWriting.net
