The Hearst Tower in New York City was designed by Norman Foster and completed in 2004. It combines elements of the International style, featuring a rectilinear form with glass and steel. Foster arranged the building's exposed structural members diagonally to showcase its complex design. The tower revives William Randolph Hearst's original plan for a Manhattan skyscraper, and won an award for being a sustainable new headquarters that brings new life to an existing building site.
