Top News :
• KRBL Mgt Guildeline : Company expects 20 percent export growth for FY14 and domestic to growth by 30-35 percent. The company was
worried that on account of prices being higher by 40 percent than last year orders would not flow through but over the past one month the
company has received export orders worth USD 100 million . The topline too would grow from Rs 2400 crore to about Rs 2800 crore for the year
said Mittal and expects profits to be in line with the company's six month performance. Currently, the company is not looking for any expansion
plans but is in lookout for a place to put up a new plant, which could be in Madhya Pradesh . Moreover, over a period of 3-4 years, the
production from the new plant could move from 10 tonne per hour to 50 tonne per hour
• UCO Bank Mgt Guideline : Bank is planning to sell bad loans worth Rs 1,900 crore from 100 more accounts to clean its balance sheet. The
bank has already sold NPAs worth Rs 300 crore in the last quarter.On the financial restructuring package (FRP) for electricity distribution
companies (discoms), Mgt said the bank’s exposure to state electricity boards stands at Rs 10,000 crore. The bank’s exposure to Haryana state
electricity board (SEB) is less than Rs 1,000 crore (Haryana is giving Rs 200 rebate on power bill), but has no exposure to Jharkhand & Bihar SEBs
.
• Arvind Mgt Guideline : Company has revised its FY14 revenue guidance from 20 percent to 24 percent. The company is expecting the H1FY14
sales growth at 29.3 percent. The European and American markets, which were slow, have started growing well and Indian exports should start
growing in double-digits soon. Apparels segment is growing by 8 percent in America and Europe. Bangladesh’s exports have grown by 22
percent. India has 4.5 percent, whereas China has 33 percent market share in the world textile market. Mgt is hopeful that the garment exports
could improve on the back of Bangladesh's labour issues.
• India Infoline Ltd has informed that the Company proposes to divest 76% stake in its Sri Lankan subsidiary namely IIFL Securities Ceylon
(Private) Limited engaged in stock broking activities at Colombo Stock Exchange to its Sri Lankan joint venture partner who is holding 24% stake
for a total consideration of Sri Lankan rupee 50 million.
• Valecha Engineering Limited bags Projects worth Rs. 133.45 Crores . The order is 17 % of sales .
• Pioneer Embroideries has bought back, for cancellation, its entire outstanding FCCBs of aggregate Face Value USD 11.00 million, on
December 30, 2013 .
• Gross direct tax collections rose 12.33 per cent to Rs 4.81 lakh crore during the first nine months of this financial year. Direct tax collections
totalled Rs 4.29 lakh crore during the April-December period in 2012-13. Net direct tax collections rose 12.53 per cent to Rs 4.15 lakh crore
during the period this year, compared with Rs 3.69 lakh crore in the year-ago period .
• Market research group Markit said the Markit/CIPS U.K. Services Purchasing Managers Index declined to a six month low of 58.8 in
December from 60.0 in November. Analysts had expected an unchanged reading.
• Euro Zone Services PMI remained unchanged at 51.0, from 51.0 in the preceding quarter. Analysts had expected Euro Zone Services PMI to
remain unchanged at 51.0 in the last quarter.
• Indian HSBC Services Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI), compiled by Markit, fell to 46.7 in December from 47.2 in November.
