Importance of Water.
Water is a daily essential need.
In other countries people suffer from diseases due to the water
contamination as they have no access to fresh clean water.
Globally estimated 2000 children under the age of 5 die everyday from
the diamoheal diseases. 1,800 of these deaths are caused because of
water, sanitation and hygiene
Water is very precious 97% of the total water is salty therefore not
potable , 2% is locked in glaciers and polar caps thus leaving around 1% of
it useful for consumption.
Effect Of Water Pollution On
Sea Life
• The litter is frequently consumed by sea creatures
which often leads to fatal effects by marine mammals,
fish and birds which mistake for food.
• Trash Vortex of the North Pacific Ocean consists of
trillions of pieces of decomposing plastic that forms a
gigantic swirling garbage patch the size of Texas.
• Water Pollution is killing a lot of sea creatures which is
breaking the food chain and possibly even effecting humans.
Preventions of Water Pollution
◊You can help by never throwing rubbish away-always look
for the correct waste bin
◊Use water wisely and do not keep the tap running
◊Do not throw chemicals, paints, medicines down the sink,
drain or the toilet
◊Buy more enviromental safe cleaning liquids for use at
home and other public places
◊If you use chemicals and pesticides for your gardens and
farms be mindful, not to overuse pesticides and fertilizers
If people don’t stop polluting the water
fish will become contaminated and the
fish will poison us.
How many of you own
boats, do you throw
rubbish and other things
when you are on it?
Nowadays people consider money as a much more important than
saving our planet , Thus because we are the new generation we should
take care of our planet by making small changes; example: Not
littering.
