This standard is based on minimum requirements for buildings and systems using performance-related provisions and complements existing standards to form a comprehensive assessment system for green building construction.
Water Quality The quality of kajang water is influenced greatly by human development. Acid rain is a common problem. The expanse of hard impermeable surfaces in cities results in large bodies of rainwater requiring collection and discharge elsewhere. Dust, dirt and other solid pollutants are washed with rainwater into drains, the water sometimes discharged untreated into local waterways. Drinking water from local waterways often requires treatment with chemicals to combat bacteria and other micro- organisms from such pollution.
