Digital Matters was presented by Windows Azure and focused
exclusively on the monetisation of online video content. The event
addressed new business models in the digital entertainment verticals
such as television, advertising, movies and music. Digital Matters has
become the symposium for showcasing online innovation.
Music Matters high level agenda covered all aspects of the music
industry, diving into the discussions about the opportunities
of monetising music using social media, music synchronicity and
interviews with the most prominent digital music CEOs and 75 other
music industry thought leaders.

Our famous evening networking events and parties continued in 2013 with
31 individual events!
Opening night began with cocktails, sponsored by Movideo, followed by our annual
Hard Rock Party with SG Muso. AsiaPop40 Launch cocktails were hosted by
AsiaPop40 & eon Syndicated Media, after which everyone headed to Clarke Quay for
the opening night of Music Matters Live with HP with opening night drinks sponsored
by Pacific Beverages. Closing cocktails were held in honour of legendary producer
Seymour Stein.
Samsung hosted a VIP breakfast to kick of the first day of the Digital Matters
conference.
Accenture hosted a high level luncheon for business leaders driving the
entertainment space in Asia.
The YouTube Music team & Google Play hosted an exclusive and intimate
lunch for entertainment leaders and YouTube stars from across the world.
Kocca hosted a VIP lunch to share the latest from the world of K-Pop
CIMA hosted the Canadian International VIP lunch where members of the
Canadian delegation presented to a select group of attendees, made new
contacts and exchanged information.
This year we launched the YouTube FanFest; a two-night 'live' YouTube showcase in
Singapore featuring a roster of 18 established and breakout global sensations with over 3.8
billion combined views plus a guest appearance from Joe Perry (Aerosmith) and
Andrew Garcia.
The live stream on youtube.com/fanfest across both days drew almost 200,000 viewers
from 117 countries (up to 500,000 by July 2013) 200 Fans got up close and personal with
their favourite stars at the Meet & Greets. 50 journalists attended the press conference
across two days.

YouTube FanFest broadcast live on both nights to a live
audience of over 200,000 viewers and a cumulative of
500,000 to date (July 2013).

Thousands of fans (with and without tickets) flocked to
the Ritz Carlton to meet, greet or simply catch sight of
their idol YouTube stars presenting the orgainsers with a
security issue which was quickly and effortlessly taken
care of by the five-star venue!
Over 6,000 fans attended the Music Matters Live festival which featured 58 bands from 20
countries performing 160 shows around Clarke Quay over three nights with no admission cost!
Dubbed as Asia’s #1 celebration of music discovery Music Matters Live with HP was the live arm
of the prestigious, award winning Digital & Music Matters conference and was broadcast live
globally on YouTube from the Fountain Stage. The festival featured emerging and established
bands from Asia and around the world - all looking to be discovered by industry and fans alike

HP made it matter for 50 students from Singapore Polytechnic (SP) to be involved
in the making of Music Matters Live. Using HP Z1 and Z620 Workstations, powered
by Intel and using a Windows 8 operating system, SP students from the Diploma
in Visual Effects and Motion Graphics were in charge of producing, filming and
editing the footage on the spot for live streaming on YouTube for an international
audience.
This year, facilitated by Coalition Music, delegates and budding artists attended two
full-days of mentoring sessions and workshops at the Music Matters Academy with
HP, allowing industry experts from the music and entertainment industry to share
useful tips and advice to help grow the local talent base. Watch the Academy video:

Our “Live” Facebook page grew to over 70,000 likes, our App has now had over 8,000 downloads and our
hashtags #matterstome, #MML13 & #YTFF were trending across Twitter Asia Pacific.
A landmark achievement of 2013 was the Music Matters Live Facebook Page which engaged fans and
enabled them to connect with the bands playing at the live festival. Features of the page included messages
