1. Technical Data Sheet
gudy® window
Gudy window is a self-adhesive thin clear polyester film coated on both sides with solvent-free, age resistant
and permanently elastic acrylate adhesive which doesn’t dry out or become greasy.
Application
gudy® window is coated with a strong, permanent adhesive on the paper marked side. The other side allows
reversible short to mid-term face mounting of photographs, prints, drawings, charts or other images on smooth,
clean and greese-free backing surfaces made of glass. gudy® window can easily be applied by hand. Prints
generally can be removed from the glass surface without residues. Under certain conditions occurring residues
can very easily be removed with petrolether (b.p. 60º - 80º C/ 140º - 194ºF). For removing residues of the
permanent adhesive usage of alcohol is recommended. Please refer to our application tips on gudy® window.

The information in this specification sheet is based on findings obtained in practice. Because of the high number
of factors which can have an effect during handling and application, customer test will also be required. As
gudy® window is used to join two materials whose structure may vary greatly, their properties and their effect on
the quality of the adhesion have to be taken into account. Thus the given product life refers only to the product
itself. The possibility of residue-free removal will have to be checked before each new application. Damage to
the carrier can not always be ruled out. A legally binding guarantee of specific properties is not to be inferred
from our specifications.

Gudy® Window Technical Information and Installation Guide
Introduction:
New from Neschen is a visually clear mounting adhesive designed for installing large images by hand o location.
gudy® Window is a double-sided mounting adhesive designed for fast, easy bubble free face mounting to glass
utilizing a simple hand squeegee. This product consists of a 1mil clear polyester film with an aggressive adhesive
on one side and a removable on the other. The adhesive is produced with micro grooves allowing for easy
evacuation of all air bubbles and is specially formulated for easy removal without leaving any residue. The
adhesive is very re-positionable. Other applications include promotional graphics for glass cooler doors in grocery
stores, back-lit display cabinets in airports and sports arenas as well as a variety of P.O.P. displays. gudy®
Window is ideal for all temporary situations or where installation is required on sensitive surfaces. gudy® Window
is designed primarily for short-term uses. Any other applications or installations not described in this update are
the responsibility of the installer to determine the specific characteristics and or consequences.
For all installations care must be used when removing the release liner as not to inadvertently remove any
adhesive with it. In the advent small sections of adhesive comes of with the liner the graphic can still be
successfully installed without any visible discrepancies in the image.
On Glass Windows:
Windows should be cleaned with soap and water, thoroughly rinsed with clear water and wiped dry. Window
cleaning solutions are not recommended. If used be sure the window is completely dry and wiped down with a
dry, clean towel.
The low tack adhesive is designed for excellent re-positioning of the initial installation. Graphics may be
repositioned six to ten times successfully without any changes to the original structure of the micro grooves in the
adhesive. This also depends on the amount of squeegee pressure (normally very little is required).
Once the graphics have been in place for a period of 24 hours the adhesive becomes more aggressive and
should not be disturbed until the graphic has completed its function. The normal life expectancy when mounted on
the interior of glass windows with moderate direct sun is between 2 and 3 months. While there are some UV
inhibiting characteristics in gudy® Window, Neschen does not guarantee the color-fastness of the image for this
period of time.
Moisture condensation can result in product failure. If graphics are installed in an area that is known to have this
condition, because of the low tack nature of gudy® Window, it is advised that the edges be sealed to prevent
moisture penetration. If unchecked the result will be a white milky discoloration in the graphic. This condition will
however disappear once all the moisture has dissipated. The graphic will return to its original clarity.
Clear Acrylic Sheet…Not Recommended!
Due to the nature of many types of acrylic sheet the low tack adhesive may be affected by moisture inherent to
the plastic sheet. Face mounting to these products is not recommended unless the acrylic has been thoroughly
cured by special drying techniques. Contact the manufacturer for further information.
