6. History Part 5 World War II began in 1939 and lasted until 1945. The war involved a large amount of the world's nations. This was the most deadliest war because of the amount of civilians that were killed. In September of 1939, Germany invaded Poland. Britain and France declare war on Germany. In 9/17/1939 Red Army invades Poland in accordance with Nazi-Soviet Pact. During the six year period the Nazis began to take control of other countries. And Americans were being taken as prisoners of war. Dictator Adolf Hitler was the most powerful man in Europe at that time. And the U.S. President was Harry S. Truman. 8. I learned alot about world War II. Such as the other battles between nations and countries. And the exact dates of the major events in the war that took place from a timeline of events I found in my research. Also how the war effects changed the way of everyones lives back then. One thing that I like learning about in the wars is how people were effected from it. Which could be: A family menber who was sent off to war. A relationship between a husband and wife. Or a friendship. That is what I love about this film, it is not strictly a war film. It shows more of the personal lives during that hard time. Part 7-What I Learned
