2. In this PowerPoint I will tell you my thoughts about the Sony hvr
a1e camera and why I think its not a practical camera.
You see that buying this camera used is at least £600 and that is far too
expensive for such a poor performance camera.
3. Watch this:

Here you have seen some footage and it looks good enough for making videos,
but not films.
First of all there is no real depth of field and the camera has quite a lot of noise.
If shooting in low light conditions the footage is not usable.
I m not saying it’s a bad camera, I’m just saying that you shouldn’t spend that
much money on a camera that has such a performance.
4. The Sony hvr a1e can do all the basics like shooting in 24 frames per second
and on 1080p.
The problem I have is that it cant shoot in 60 frames per second, if you want to
do slow motion and you cant control the shutter speed if you are shooting on a
SD card. Which is a real problem if you want to have sharp images for your
film.
Although you can change all the settings as you like, which is necessary .
The sound is actually pretty good.
This camera can also record on dv tapes, but I prefer SD cards because its
much faster, so I don’t really care about the fact that this camera has this
option.
5. You can get more efficient and better cameras for the same price:
These are just two examples of good cameras, which allow a fast workflow.
Look online and see for yourself.
6. I hope you see my point. I think
the Sony hvr a1e is a good
camera, but you can get better
ones for the same price or even
cheaper.
