While hosting the Olympics could bring India prestige and benefits for athletes and tourism, there are also significant challenges. Hosting the Olympics requires millions of dollars and could increase corruption and poverty issues. However, if India develops its sporting facilities and infrastructure over time while also reducing corruption, it may be able to host the Olympics in 15-20 years. The country would need to focus on improving its athletes' performances globally and building a variety of training centers first before considering hosting.

government should take strong action to stop the
corruption and make sensitive environment for
Olympics Games and provide better facility for
foreigners.
• India would need a variety of training facilities for
multiple sports to find and develop as many athletes
as possible in advance of hosting a game. It would
need to decide that merely hosting is not enough, and
that they need to create a national celebration of sport
that involves both elite and amateur athletes.

9. Olympics in India: My Perspective
I don't think its right to host in the current situation which
is prevailing in the country. First let our Indian athletes
improve and try to get recognised in most of the games
then hosting an Olympic event might be considered
good. Money might not be a major factor but the
infrastructure and capacity to accommodate the pouring
tourists and athletes will be a major factor. It is a time
consuming event and needs long planning . Hope it will
be host by another 15 years or so.
