The Home Away From Home Project was a fundraiser in support of the children and families who are often at the hospital for extended periods of time. The project solicited monetary, toys and other needed items for patients in the Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital. The Brain Injury Health fair focus brought Executive Director, Lee Jenkins, of the Brain Injury Association of MS and the Associate Executive Director, Dana Pierce, in to talk with parents about brain related types of injuries, helmet laws, and their relationship with Batson Hospital. Thus, this coincides with the Batson Home Away From Home Theme.
