Click on the orange tabs to see each section of the application. The VISTA submits this generic application to all sites they are interested in; therefore it is not specific to your program. The posting asks applicants to submit a resume and cover letter in addition to the AmeriCorps application to provide more detail as to why they want to work for the host site.
Once you have determined your final candidate, you need to go to the Sponsor Recommendation/Rejection page. It requires supervisors to add VISTA document information and provide a thorough recommendation for why they want to hire the VISTA. After Supervisors recommend the VISTA, the VISTA must login to their AmeriCorps account and accept the position. This must happen before April 29. They will then be listed as “Pending State Office approval”.
This site has everything supervisors should need to successful host a VISTA project. Please take time to explore it and the various resources it has. Contact me if you see anything that should be changed or added.
