(EDFC) allows residents to invest in local projects through a direct public offering of promissory notes. Investing provides both community impact and financial returns, as EDFC uses funds to vetted sustainable projects like a wool processing facility, meat plant, and biomass utilization. EDFC is a nonprofit with 20 years experience making loans to create prosperity in Lake and Mendocino Counties.
