someone uses against a girlfriend or boyfriend.

3. Teen dating violence can take many forms
like:
Physical abuse
Sexual abuse
Mental/emotional abuse
4. Teens who abuse their girlfriends or boyfriends do
the same things as adults who abuse their partners.
Teen dating violence is just as serious as adult
domestic violence.
Domestic violence is the same thing of teen
violence, but in this case happens with adults.
Women are more often the victim.

verbal spousal abuse;
Domestic violence and child abuse are often present
in the same families;

Some of the symptoms of domestic violence in children's

loss of a parent, rage, guilt or a sense of responsibility for
the violence, which can stifle emotional and social
development.

low self-esteem;
violent practices in the home;
criminal behavior;
sexual problems;
10. Avoidant personality disorder:
Avoidant personality disorder is a consequence of being victim
from domestic violence and it’s characterized by feelings of
extreme social inhibition, inadequacy, and sensitivity to
negative criticism and rejection.
About 1% of the general
population has avoidant
personality disorder.
11. 40% reported their friends have been verbally abused in
relationships.
And 20% of 12 and 13 year olds say their friends have been
victims of dating violence.
Only half of all tweens (51 percent) claim to know the warning
signs of a bad/hurtful relationship.
One-in-five 13-14 year olds in relationships (20 percent) say they
know friends and peers who've been struck in anger
(kicked, hit, slapped, or punched) by a boyfriend or girlfriend.
