2. Skull
The skull consist of 4 bones and 2 fontanels
Fontanels are only present in newborns
Frontal bone (forehead)
2 Parietal bones (one on each side on top of the head)
Occipital bone (lower portion of skull before neck)
2 Temporal bones (one on each side of the head right above each ear.
3. Arm
The arm consist of 5 main bones
Clavicle (collar bone)
Scapula (shoulder bone)
Humerus (Upper arm)
Radius(forearm)
Ulna (forearm)
4. Hip
There are 5 main bones in hip region
Ilium (top no There tch)
Acetabulum (where leg bone joins
the hip)
Ischium (lower notch)
Pubis (where the two hip bones
come together
5. Leg
The leg consist of 4 main bones
Femur (thigh) Largest bone in body
Patella (Knee Cap)
Tibia
Fibula
6. Hands
The hand has 5 main bones
Each finger has a distal phalanx (the tip of the finger)
Each finger besides the thumb has a medial phalanx (directly below distal phalanx)
Each finger has a proximal phalanx (directly below the medial phalanx
Metacarpals each finger has one (connects to the wrist)
The wrist consist of 7 carpals (wrist bones)
7. Feet
The foot consist of 2 heal bones and 3 different regions
Similar to the hand theres a distal phalanx, medial phalanx and proximal phalanx
which goes from the tip of your toe to the end.
Then you have your 5 metatarsals that make it down to your midfoot.
The midfoot consist of 5 smaller bones
After that your heal is called the Calcaneus
which leads to your ankle called the talus.
