PROFESSIONAL PRECIS
Presently associated with Onward Technologies Ltd, Pune as Design Engineer
Working onsite at John Deere Technology center in “Seeding Engineering” Department.
Over 6 years of expertise on working with PRO-E Wildfire 4, Wildfire 5 and Creo 2.0
w.r.t. Concept modeling, Design & Development, skeleton, assembly, modeling,
surfacing, Pro-welding, Sheet Metal and detailing.
Posses thorough knowledge of ASME Y14.5M 1994 (GD & T) and ASME Y14.8 1996
(Standard for casting and forging) with tolerance stack up for WCB.
Hold merits on working with Weldments, Sheet Metal and Casting components.
Acquaintance of implementing projects on line and working in simultaneous engineering
environment.
Grip on strong modeling, Concept Designing, NPD Projects, Parametric detailing in
addition to system configuration keys like creating a config and format files to set a
working standard.
ORGANISATIONAL EXPERIENCE
Since July11 Onward Technologies Ltd., Pune as Design Engineer
Onsite at JOHN DEERE TCI – “Tractor Engineering Department”
And “Seeding Engineering Department”
Successfully handled Designing, Part Modeling, Drafting, and GD & T across
following key projects.
Project:- Chassis Designing For 1910-800 Bushel Tow Between Cart.
Key Deliverables
Spearheading Efforts in Designing chassis for the Vancouver cart.
Integrating the Chassis in consideration with the conveyor system, Front and rear axles,
Tank Cradles, Seeding meter lines.
Co-ordinated with the FEA team for designing aspects on different load cases affecting
the chassis design.
Checking Interferences with the Chassis and the front axle tyre cloud data (Envelop)
considering the uphill position of the front Axle.
Data Analysis for the Mule test of Chassis.
Rear Axle Hub designing for various variants of wheel configurations.
Weldment Creation for chassis as per welding sequence.
2. Project: - Chassis Designing and Detailing For 1910-350 Bushel,1910-400 Bushel Tow
Behind Carts.
Key Deliverables
Designed Octagonal Chassis for 350Bu and 400Bu Cart for Scotts dale and New
Orleans Respectively.
Co-ordinated with FEA team for various load case conditions and their effects on
Chassis.
Leading efforts on the creating weldments assemblies and manufacturing drawing for
chassis using Creo 2.0.
Project:-Re-Designing Hitch Stabilizer.
Key Deliverables
Converted the Existing casting Hitch Stabilizer Design into Sheet metal one keeping its
functionality intact.
Reduced the weight considerably from 23 kg to 10.3 kg with a considerable saving in
component cost.
Project:-Transmission Clutch Housing.
Key Deliverables
Spearheading efforts to standardize clutch housing for 2 different variants of 5000 series
tractors.
Efforts across 24x12 and 12x12 Clutch housing to design a spacer casting between
transmission housing and clutch housing.
Considerable reduction in weight of transmission housing.
From July ’08 to July’11
Arihant Industrial Co-op Ltd, Mumbai As,
Design Engineer-Play Ground R & D Division.
Responsibilities
Modeling, assembling & detailing of components using Pro/Engineer Wildfire 4.0.
Creating and updating CAD model, assembly and detailing using Pro/E as per customer
requirement.
Estimation and quality check for the drawings.
Interaction with the production and vendor development team for manufacturing of
components.
Creating parts manual of the assembled product.
Providing first hand proposals for design changes.
Managing coordination for design and drawing release system in new product
development process.
Creating and converting 2D detail drawing in 3D using Pro/E.
Updating the BILL OF MATERIAL (BOM) in ERP system.
Deciding the flow of every component on the shop-floor level and processing the same in
ERP.
Interaction with marketing department for BOM of customized products.
3. ACADEMIC PROJECT
Title : Design of Automatic shoe sole cleaning machine.
Duration : 6 Months.
Description : Project basically aims at designing of an automated sole cleaning
machine for removing the incruscated dust particles from the shoe
sole surface by the rotating mechanism of bristles mounted on
rollers.
Responsibilities
To develop the conceptualized design and working out the actual model of the machine
along with the necessary investigations in the already available machines in the market.
Understanding & utilizing the techniques for designing of the part using Pro/Engineer
wildfire 2.0.
Working out the design calculations of various components (shaft & bearing, chain,
cleaning platform).
