Organizational Description:
Over the past ten years, Mobilize.org has grown from a student organization on one campus with ten students into a national
Millennial movement reaching tens of thousands of young people throughout the country. Mobilize.org’s underlying theory of
change is that more effectively engaging more Millennials in decision-making and problem-solving will lead to better solutions to
social problems. Mobilize.org is pioneering an innovative engagement model that leverages the unique characteristics of the
Millennial Generation - collaboration, diversity, technological savvy and an entrepreneurial spirit - to address the most pressing
issues facing our generation, and our country.
About the Position:
In an exciting period of growth, this position will play a crucial role in supporting the Millennial engagement work happening in
communities across the country and expanding national programs of Mobilize.org. The Program Associate will work with the
Director of Programs to administer the processes and logistics in support of Mobilize.org programs. The Program Associate will
primarily support the planning and implementation of Mobilize.org summits, leadership development trainings and Summit
Awardee support through the fellowship program consistent with Mobilize.org’s strategy, theory of change and mission. For

Responsibilities:
The Program Associate will report to Mobilize.org’s Director of Programs and have the following responsibilities:
Support planning and implementation of Millennial engagement programming, including summits, funded projects,
community outreach, leadership training and development.
Manage event logistics including program agenda, speaker and VIP invitations, printed materials, events webpage,
registration and travel arrangements.
Maintain and update partner, participant, and competitor outreach databases including listservs, elected officials,
community organizations, and college/university contacts.
Create, maintain and administer application, proposal and registration process for participants and competitors.
Manage communications with program applicants, participants, competitors and community members.
Maintain program updates on the Mobilize.org website, including agendas, funded projects, online competitions,
registration forms and partner recognition.
Manage reporting and tracking of Awardee work with community programming staff.
Administer program evaluations, surveys and research for partners, participants, and Awardees with Director of
Network Initiatives.
Manage, train, and develop interns focused on program development and management with Director of Programs.
Contribute to Mobilize.org’s fund development and reporting efforts with Director of Development.

Key Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-2 years of political or community organizing and project management experience
Knowledge of or interest in developing and managing programs and events
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort with and regular usage of social media
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail combined with an ability to take initiative and manage
multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong project management skills; manage time, multi-task and prioritize
Strong commitment to the organization’s mission, vision and strategies
Proficient in use of Google Applications, Salesforce, Microsoft Office, WordPress and Social Media tools.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
