The “New” MyMassTV Network
By Jeff Hansell
www. MassAccess, org In 2009, several of us on the Info Services
Committee (Terry Duenas, Bill Nay &
myself) developed MyMassTV as a
“statewide government access TV network”,
with the goal of connecting the
FACEBOOK.COM/GROUPS/ Commonwealth to communities.

3. FALL 2011 EDITION NEWS & IDEAS FROM MASSACCESS/ACM MASS CHAPTER MEMBERS & FRIENDS
Continued From Page 1:
Earlier this year we rolled out MyMassTV
Network 2.0 (massaccess.telvue.com) with
much less fanfare, and instead we have
concentrated in making sure it works, that it is
updated, and that individual media centers
know how to use it efficiently and easily.
Today, I’m pleased to report that 75 community
media centers have registered on the
MyMassTV Network, so far; and the number
keeps growing. We’ve also seen more state
departments & elected officials, federal
agencies and non-profits seek out MassAccess
& MyMassTV to distribute video content
across the state.
Though still a work in progress, MyMassTV
Network is working and is available to all
MassAccess members. For more information,
just go to MassAccess.org and click on the
MyMassTV link.

Have you tried the following?
Annual Auction – live with cable and internet viewers bidding for donated items
Van Sponsors – add logo to section of van under the header “Thank you to our community partners”
Community Bulletin Board sponsors
Lobby Bulletin Board – flat screen TV with video loop and lower thirds sponsor crawl
Many local businesses (Banks, Hospitals, Insurance Companies, large scale employers and taxpayers) should be
approached as:
Community Partners – Platinum, Gold,
Silver and Bronze level (3 year
commitment) – assign $$ value to each
level and combine any number of the
above opportunities to lock them in to this
long-term commitment.
These are just a few suggestions for you
to consider as you lower your dependency
on cable revenues moving forward. A few
of you have already instituted some of
these revenues streams into you annual
budget. But if have not, maybe now is the
time to consider it.
