What is Nanotechnology?
Nanotechnology is the engineering of functional systems at the
molecular scale. This covers both current work and concepts that
are more advanced.In its original sense, 'nanotechnology' refers
to the projected ability to construct items from the bottom

Microelectromechanical systems (MEMS)
It is the technology of very small mechanical devices driven by
electricity; it merges at the nano-scale into
nanoelectromechanical systems (NEMS) and nanotechnology.

micro systems technology – MST (in Europe).

  1. What is Nanorobotics? Programmable assembly of nm-scale components either by manipulation with macro or micro devices, or by directed self-assembly.Design and fabrication of robots with overall dimensions at or below the mm range and made of nm-scale components.Programming and coordination of large numbers (swarms) of such nanorobots.
  2. (MEMS also written as micro-electro-mechanical, MicroElectroMechanical or microelectronic and microelectromechanical systems)
  3. An accelerometer is a device that measures proper acceleration, also called the four-acceleration. For example, an accelerometer on a rocket accelerating through space will measure the rate of change of the velocity of the rocket relative to any inertial frame of reference.
  4. A geophone is a device which converts ground movement (displacement) into voltage, which may be recorded at a recording station
  5. This wonderfully detailed image shows Robert Freitas-designed so-called "respirocytes" and red blood cells flowing through a blood vessel: a small artery. In the foreground at left, we see a closeup of the respirocyte surface including the sensor apertures and the individual rotating disks -containing active binding sites- comprising each of the thousands of sorting rotors. At lower right, we see another nearby respirocyte with its pumping station geometry and polar barcodes clearly visible.

Grey goo (alternatively spelled gray goo) is a hypothetical end-of-the-world scenario involving molecular nanotechnology in which out-of-control self-replicating robots consume all matter on Earth while building more of themselves,a scenario known as ecophagy ("eating the environment").Remember:Only you can prevent gray goo Never release nanobot assemblers with out replication limiting code
