• I am sure that we know, smoking is harmful to
our body. Then why do we continue smoking?
• There are a lot of reasons why we shouldn’t
smoke. Let me enumerate some of them…
a) Smoking affects our health
b) We spend a lot of money on cigarettes and
c) That when we smoke, we are not respecting
the people around us.
3. I would just like to mention two

• We shouldn’t smoke because it affects our
health. If we smoke our physical condition
gets negatively affected and it will be difficult
for us to succeed in life.
• Smoking also produces lethal diseases like
cancer and reduces the quality of life . Maybe
we don’t realise all the physical effects of
smoking immediately but we will surely be
sorry for it one day.
5. Last but not the least
The last but not the least reason why we
shouldn’t smoke is out of respect for the
people around us. When we smoke, we not
only harm ourself but also the people around
us. Also many people don’t like the smell of
cigarettes, so they wont enjoy our company
and I don’t think any of us would like that.

• Pick a day to quit smoking. Having a specific
day in mind will help us stick to our goal.

9. Visit the doctor
• Discuss your decision to
quit smoking, I am sure
that the doctor will be
very happy with your
decision. Also ask if
other medicines could
help you quit.

10. Cut back now
• In the days leading to
the quit smoking day,
being trying to cut back
the number of
cigarettes each day. Try
to just smoke half a
cigarette, then quarter

11. You can do it
• It may be hard for you to quit smoking at first
but slowly you will stop thinking about it.
• At first even I used to bite my nails, when my
father got to know about this, he got very
angry he made me understand that why we
should not bite our nails. Now whenever I fell
like biting my nails I always remember what
my father told me that day and I STOP
12. This is the tendency with every living
being but if you have made a firm
decision then try and stick to it.
