2. Introduction
Screenless display technology has the main aim of displaying
(or) transmitting the information without any help of the
screen (or) the projector.
It displays the information directly into the retina of eye rather
than displaying through screen like LCD monitor, Touch
Screen Display, etc.
It is one of the TOP 10 emerging technologies in IT field.
We will be using Screenless display technology during 2020’s.
3. Types of Screenless Displays
3 Types of
Screenless
Display
Visual
Image
Virtual
retinal
display
Synaptic
Interface
4. Visual Image
Visual Image screen less display includes any screen less
image that the eye can perceive or see.
The eye or the retina can recognize any screen less image.
The intermediate object can be holograms, windows, or even
LCDs.
5. Examples of visual display
Holographic display
Virtual reality goggles
Heads up display
7. Virtual keyboard
On the right is the image
of Screen less touch screens
mini projector which puts a
10 inch touch screen on any
flat surface and on below it is bluetooth laser virtual keyboard.
This is the future of technology,This technology is also
considered for future I phones, in which the keypad is
projected on the table adjacent to the surface where the
phone is kept.
8. Virtual retinal display
They are screen less displays in which images are projected
directly onto the retina of eye.
The user sees what appears to be a conventional display
floating in space in front of them.
9. VIRTUAL RETINAL DISPLAY
In retinal projection, the light does not have to be reflected
off of an object. The light is projected directly onto the retina
to form an
image.

11. SYNAPTIC INTERFACE
Visual information completely bypasses the eye and is
Transmitted directly to the brain. While such systems have yet
to be implemented in humans.
Brain-computer Interfaces - direct communication between
the brain and the external device.
13. APPLICATIONS
Development of mobile phones
Screen less laptop
Holographic projection
Principle - implemented in the emerging of the new
screen less TV’s.
14. ADVANTAGES
Low power requirements
Higher resolution images
More accurate color
Wider angle of view
Ability to present 3D images
15. DISADVANTAGES
Prototypes and special experimental models are now
being Built, but their cost per unit is high.
The VRD technology is still under progress and
Development.
16. Conclusion
The future technologies makes our life even better
for the development of mankind in all aspects of life.
We should effectively apply these technologies in
reasonable situations and make life easier.
Physically and Mentally challenged people also have
to be equipped with latest technologies, to enable
them to live a peaceful life.
