• The ULMAN GUI is required to implement the following
features.
1. Communications & Control Functions.
2. Monitoring of Network
3. Log File Functions
4. Statistics and Analysis Functions

ULMAN GUI – Communication
Methodology
• In order to implement the above functionality the GUI
should be able to communicate with the ULMAN wireless
nodes.
• Secure Shell is chosen as the desired service for this
purpose.
• In order to carry out file transfers between the super
node and the wireless nodes, scp is used.

Methodology(continued)
• This is accomplished by running a ssh daemon on each
of the mobile nodes.
• An ssh client is run on the super node which runs as a
back end service for the ULMAN GUI.
