Coral reefs can be found in the Pacific, Indian, and Atlantic oceans, including the Red Sea. However, over the years people have damaged coral reefs through practices like using dynamite to blast chunks of coral and pollution from fishing and land activities. Coral needs specific conditions to survive like warm, shallow, clear water above 68 degrees and feeds on small shrimp and plankton, though it is eaten by fish, starfish, and other sea creatures.

4. Fishing techniques and pollution! Many people have used knifes, hammers, and metal poles to prod on the Coral while searching for interesting sea creatures. Sometimes they've even blasted the Reef with dynamite or poured bleach to stun the fish which will then float to the surface. These things are strictly banned! A lot of things that happen on land effect the sea as well.

5. How does coral survive? They need warm water, sunlight, shallow waters, and clear water. Coral wont grow in water if it is lower than 68 degrees”.
