- If configured F and V services can take advantage of 64 bit memory for in-memory analytics processing.
- Two node single volume configuration has 1 Encyclopedia service executing on Node 1. Node 2 has an E service as well. In the case of Node 1 failing, Node 2 takes over without needing to wait for encyc failover time.
- Two node two volume configuration can have just 1 encyclopedia service, say on Node 1, to manage the metadata for both volumes. For increased availability you can also have an encyclopedia service executing on both Node 1 and Node 2. Each E service writes to either volume metadata stored in the 3rd party rdbms. In the case of Node 1 failing the E on Node 2 manages metadata for both volumes thereby providing improved availability.
