The opportunity to establish the Tuttori Language Course occured in 2007, when the
two partners determined that the existing in-company language courses were not able
to meet the companies’ needs with satisfactory results. Most of the courses in the
market do not offer a methodology or a business model which can assure customers
that their needs would be met in an organized, controlled and consistent approach.
After performing a detailed market survey and analysis of the existing competitors, a
Business Plan was developed and improved until it became the model used currently by
the Course. The adopted methodology, together with the participation and dedication
of our teachers, along with an efficient management system, establish the basis for the
fullfilment of our customer’s expectations.
• Graduated from the American School of Rio de Janeiro, is fluent in English and French.
• Has a diploma in English-Portuguese-English translation/interpretation from the Office du
Baccalauréat International in Switzerland.
• Studied Languages at PUC-RJ.
• Worked as translator and interpreter for Texaco Brasil and Petrobras (from 1989 to 1993).
• Taught English classes for brazilians and Portuguese for foreigners, individually or in groups,
at Nokia Brasil, Michelin, Petrobras, Cushman & Wakefield, Remopt, Periodical and CEMHS
(from 2005 to 2008).
• Graduated from the American School of Rio de Janeiro, is fluent in English.
• Studied Business Administration at PUC-RJ.
• Worked in the financial area for Chase Manhattan Bank (1989 to 1991) and in the quality
area for Citibank (1991) and IBM Brasil (de 1992 to 1995). Was Project Manager and Director
of Infra-structure and Procurement for BRQ Informática (1998 to 2007).

The resumés of all the teachers are available for analysis.
In this method the language is not considered as a set of phrases, but as a group of
communicative events. The target is not to describe the shape of the language, but what
can be done with it.
This is currently the most used method in the teaching of languages, since it may be
considered the easiest and most practical, the one which best reflects the social and
professional day-to-day language and the one whose outcome for the student is faster
and more efficient, thus becoming more motivating for those studying the language.
