As part of its drive to support better communication in healthcare
worldwide, Cambridge English purchased a 70 per cent stake in the
Occupational English Test from Box Hill Institute. This was a key
priority for the organisation, aimed at increasing the availability of
the test to candidates in the UK, Europe and North America. As
such, Cambridge English wanted to ensure that the new CEO was
fully equipped to deal with media questioning. Emmett & Smith
was tasked with preparing the CEO for both positive and negative
media questioning.

handling a range of press enquiries by email, over the telephone and
in person. She is able to manage media interviews positively and
effectively, maintaining control and achieving credibility with the
target audience and feels better prepared for any possible questions
she may be asked with regards to the acquisition announcement.

Sujata Stead, CEO at Cambridge Boxhill Language
Assessment: “the workshop was very well designed and
tailored to meet my specific needs. The feedback from the
trainer was particularly helpful as it gave me a clear
understanding of the areas I need improvement. The
training has given me the confidence to talk effectively to
the media.”
