Are you robbing the world of your gifts and talents? Do you have something inside of you that you feel compelled to share and haven’t? Are you holding something back that others could benefit from, out of fear of what someone may think of you? Do you have a message or story that you are too afraid to write and share?

Writer’s Wednesday floats in like the leaves of Autumn! Happy October Writer’s!
Question for ya, you know I love questions…
Are YOU a Thief?
Now, before you answer, here are some more questions to ask yourself, then decide…
Are you robbing the world of your gifts and talents? Do you have something
inside of you that you feel compelled to share and haven’t? Are you holding something back that others could
benefit from, out of fear of what someone may think of you? Do you have a message or story that you are too afraid to
write and share?
Releasing Your Writing
Putting your writing and art out into the world can be petrifying! Questions like these are challenging to face and
something, I believe the majority of us struggle with. As writers and artists, often our work is so close to our hearts, to
who we are, that the thought of opening up to criticism, stops us from sharing what we deeply want to share.
But here’s what I want you to remember,
YOU and your work matters!
I want you to know it and believe it, right here and right now!

2. You have something that no one else can share in the same way you can share it. What a disaster it would be to live
your life and never let us see what it is.
As Dr. Wayne Dyer says,
“Don’t die with the music still in you.”
Isn’t the thought of that more terrifying than the vulnerability of sharing? To rob the world of your
message, your music, your heart?
I know it’s scary to put yourself out there. It is something I am still working on myself. It’s something I know I will spend
a lifetime working on.
But, let’s face it, the haters are going to hate. It’s their nature. They are not the ones that matter.
The ones that matter are the ones you change for the better. The ones you entertain, the ones you make smile, the
ones that you encourage.
The thing I love about being a writer, is not the words themselves, but the power they have. Words have the power to
divide or unite, to put down or lift up, to discourage or encourage. We need more people out there who will risk the
vulnerability and use words for the latter, to bring people up to a higher place on their journey.
You never know how a few simple words can change someone’s life.
You have a gift, Heck! YOU are a gift!
Hide not your talents. They for use were made. What’s a sundial in the shade? ~Benjamin Franklin

“The act of writing is an act of optimism. You would not take the trouble to do it if you felt it didn’t
matter.” ~ Edward Albee
