2. INTRODUCTION
DaT’s iT is a name “Shape-borrowed” from
the famous Michael Jackson’s
“DaT’s” stands for Design and Technology’s
“iT” stands for ‘in’ Teaching.
Lesson Study Tool incorporating AFL
To measure the engagement level of D&T’s pupils by
improving on the pedagogical approach to excite
the pupils using advance cutting tool.

3. The Story begins:
In the year AD2011,
a group of zombies has
invaded the DAT world and
caused havocs and chaos to the land.
The zombies are disinterested and bored and
out to destroy. The Dat’siTers have no choice but to fight
the zombies. They do away with conventional equipment
which was ineffective against the zombies and devised a
new equipment to combat them……

6. Feedback from observers
 Pupils do not quite understand how the
laser cutting machine can do for them
on their product design.
 Pupils are just following through the
lesson without any feedbacks.
 Pupils are still not very engaged during
the lesson.

9. Feedback from observers (Lesson Study 2)
 Pupils were more engaged visually during the
lesson due to the presence of the 3D laser
cut samples.
 Pupils were more engaged kinesthetically too
as they can “fiddle” with the 3D laser-cut
samples. Eg. Scorpion.
 Pupils can better understand the advantages
of using the laser cutting machine in
designing more complicated products.
