1. Descriptive Essay About Myself
With my green plastic safety scissors from my pencil case, I hid under the craft table in my living
room and sawed off my blonde bangs until there were only millimeter long blonde sprigs of hair left
sticking from the top of my forehead.
This was just the first of many times that I tried to change my appearance to escape the shadow of
my sister and become my own unique person.
At the age of four, I lacked any formal hairdresser education so my DIY haircut forced me to wear
many wide headbands to hide the hideous sprigs of butchered hair, but in my mind my mission was
successful, because I finally looked different than my sister.
Anna, my identical twin, looks exactly like me, except for the odd freckle, our slightly different
nose structures and the slight chip on her upper left tooth. I can always tell us apart so I hardly
notice that I basically have a clone following me around all the time, but for others knowing which
twin I am proves challenging. It didn't help when my mom dressed in matching outfits from head
to toe. For my first Halloween my brother dressed up like a firefighter and Anna and I were his
dalmatians, then he was a farmer and we were pigs.
When we turned five we decided to pick out our own clothes. In kindergarten Anna and I decided
that she would only wear pink, purple and orange while my wardrobe would only contain blue,
green and yellow clothing. This color coding system worked for the next five years and from my

2. Descriptive Essay About Stranger
Muen Wang Hour 6 Mr. Korek Ap Psychology Stranger Paper Strangers are everywhere, some
have even been sharing a class with me all throughout high school so far. Yet, I have never really
bothered to noticed them. However, during the past few days in Ap Psychology, I have observed
someone that's been a stranger to me for years and learned some interesting facts about them as a
person. My stranger, Jake Allen, appears to be very confident in his appearance, athletic,
fashionable, popular, and cares about school. The evidence that backs up this assumption is present
in the clothing he wears, his behavior in class, and through his social media. Many times clothing
becomes a way for teengers to express themselves, especially on the first day...show more content...
First, his social media account is not private, like most other students. Every post he has uploaded
is on display for everyone to see, which shows that Jake is self assured about his social image.
Even though he only has thirty posts, he has three hundred followers. His newest posts received
over one hundred likes and multiple comments. This shows popularity is indeed something he
has, confirming my theory from above. All the pictures look very professional, which reveals
again he greatly cares about the way he presents himself. In one posts, Jake holds a surfboard with
the caption "try something new. you will amaze yourself with what you are capable of", from
this it is implied he has never surfed before. Not only does this post show Jake is alright with
going out of his comfort zone and attempting something brand new, but he is also very athletic.
From last years boys' volleyball JV 1 roster, I found Jake Allen 's name. This shows that he takes
time and keeps himself in shape. By making it into JV 1, it shows he is very dedicated and
responsible. Not only does he practice a lot to maintain his skill level in volleyball, he also had to
balance school work with the sport. His posture in class also revealed many things about him as a
person. Jake Allen is always slouched down and does not move very often, presenting himself as a
very laid back person. Unlike some people who twitch in their seat, he

On a very warm, patriotic day. The sun on a sandy beach beats down on the hot sand, the cold
blue waves crash the shores of Alpena Michigan. A very energetic, outgoing girl runs across the

4. Descriptive Essay : My Unforgettable Travels
My Unforgettable Travels Visualizing a picture in your head can be so captivating and it can bring
back memories you'd never thought you would remember. I visualized a picture of a love lock
bridge in Paris, France because it is something that stood out to me when I was traveling. Everything
about this area was amazing and breathtaking. I will always remember traveling to France and Spain
because of how different other countries are than the United States. Going to these places really
made me love exploring and learning new things about the world. When going to France, I really
depicted it as a different place than it was. I thought it was going to be just like New York City
with a little touch of different people. I was so incredibly wrong. I went there in February of this
year and ever since then I can't wait to go back to different countries. The lifestyle there was so
serene and mesmerizing all at once. You felt this almost joy of just walking into certain places. I
went to multiple different places there. For example, I went to the Palace of Versailles, Hotel Des
Invalides, the Eiffel Tower and then art museums with painting like the Mona Lisa and much more.
These places were spectacular and so different. The work of every building was hand crafted and
made me wish I could live in Paris. The people there were a little rude to Americans, but that didn't
stop me from trying to converse with them as much as I could. I would always look up different

5. Descriptive Essay On People In Life
There are some people in life, that inspire you, while others can make it more exciting. But, there
are a few that can do both. Inspiration is the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel
something, especially to do something creative. The people you meet or see in life that can do
both seem to influence your very own decisions. They produce unwavering emotions and never
seem to concede. These people are the true exemplars of the aphorism, "You only live once."
These people know how to fight for their lives, or hold back their emotions for the greater good of
others. Shannon Cummings, Rick Porcello, and Devin/Jason Mccourty are my illustrations of
people that live life to the fullest and try to help others that aren't able to do the same on their own.
They are honest when they need to be, but they know when to tell a white lie to keep from hurting
others. These people are philanthropists, donating their time, money, or energy to help others. They
are people that are stoic, keeping their emotions to themselves when they are down, which allows
others to do the same. Some of them are underdogs in their areas of expertise, but they defy
expectations regularly. They are people that overcome many challenges in their way throughout life.
These people share the same characteristics as many others in the world, but it is how they use them
that makes them extraordinary. It's not the hand you're dealt that wins the game, it's how you play

6. Descriptive Personal Experience Essay
I was in my room listening to music. My room would normally have a very serene feeling to it.
My room had a beautiful dream catcher hanging on the wall and there was also a very big
window that made it possible for me to see the moon every night. I always felt very relaxed in my
room, but that day I could hear the screaming and arguing between my mom and my dad in the
background. It was horrible. I could feel my eyes starting to water because I hated hearing my
parents fight. The fighting and arguing continued for days. On one evening I could hear the voices
of my parents arguing with my brothers. I was in my room as always and I started to feel room
getting really hot. The noises and everything else around me made me feel very...show more content...
"I haven 't been feeling so great lately",I said in a soft tone. My mom glanced at me with a very
puzzled expression on her face.
"What do you mean? Are you sick?", she asked with confusion in her voice.
"No, I mean I don't know I just haven 't been feeling too great emotionally i guess.", I responded in
a very little voice because I thought that maybe she would think that I was crazy. Once I said that
my mom stopped folding all of the laundry.
"Since when?", my mom asked with a very surprised tone.
"Maybe like 3 months.", I responded. "What! Three months why didn't you tell me".
" I didn't tell you because I thought you wouldn't understand.", I said in a tone that almost sounded
annoyed, which I think I might have been.
" I think you should go to the doctor.", she told me. I didn't want to go to the doctor, but I knew
that it would most likely help me. A couple days later I went to the doctor and he just asked me a
bunch of questions. One of the questions was, what did it feel like to have an anxiety attack. That
was probably one of the hardest questions i had ever had to answer. I couldn 't find the right words
to describe how it felt. As he kept asking me questions he would write things down. I couldn't help
but wonder what he was writing down. I would keep having the thought that maybe he was writing
down all of the bad things. After the doctor stopped talking to me he started to talk to my mom

7. Descriptive Essay About Beauty
I think our minds are obsessed with beauty. We envy those we cannot be. We strive to have this
picture perfect life, or something close to it. When I was younger, I was never out going or the kid
that talked all the time. That just wasn't me. I never thought of myself as beautiful. I thought I was
pretty, but in my mind, to be truly beautiful, one must possess other characteristics beyond the
physical realm. To be exquisite, perfectly, and wholeheartedly beautiful, one must be: independent,
self–confident, and happy. I didn't see this in myself at the time, but how could I? I was still in
elementary school. There is one woman, however, who I considered being one of the most beautiful
beings. She is partially the reason I am the person I am...show more content...
I hated shopping. But this lady with her textured turtleneck always mesmerized me with how
powerfully she presented herself. She was always so polished and prim. I never remember a
Sunday where she looked like the overworked mother, or the stress ridden woman trying to keep
her life together. No, she was quite the opposite. She was in complete control of her life.
Years passed by, I no longer saw any of her kids. Her husband, who was quite obviously older than
her, began to deteriorate. He had surgery that left him unable to walk without assistance. She was
always there, guiding him, smiling at him, helping him into the car. She maintained the same
calm, loving style towards him, before and after. At this point, I was quite a bit older. I
understood death. I could tell just by looking at him, that his time was coming to an end; anyone
could. But she paid no attention to that. She appeared older than before. Not in sense that she was
dying, but she seemed like she had accomplished whatever she wanted in life. She seemed serene,
they both did. It was in those last few months they had together that I saw a couple truly in love.
They were happy. I've never seen anything like that before. I don't think that people genuinely
understand their feelings for a person until they've lived without him or her or they know that that
time is coming. She never once showed any sadness or sorrow. She remained as caring and as gentle
as ever.
He did eventually pass. She

8. Descriptive Personal Experience Essay
So, there I sat, seat G4 on the train headed to nowhere. I didn't have a destination; I never really
did. I guess that's just the type of person I was, someone who just hopped on a train for the ride. I
always liked trains. I don't know what it was about them, but for some reason or another, I always
found myself lounging in the same spot drinking hot cocoa. People always said that hot chocolate
"was only for kids" but I never got that; I had a pretty strong distaste for coffee. Honestly, I hate it,
the way it makes your teeth gritty to the point where you need something else to drink. I can't even
enjoy a cup unless it's lighter than my own skin tone, which, by the way, is pretty pale. I mean I
wouldn't call myself pasty but... Anyhow, it...show more content...
My mother raised me right, so I understood how wrong this was, but don't worry, nothing I had been
thinking was going to leave my thick skull. Most of the people on the train were older women with
their children, but next to me was a man. His eyes, like mine, matched his hair in blackness.
However creepy, I always found this feature refreshing, in the way that one finds a black cat. I
named this man Frank and created a story for him when another man caught my eye. It was his
coat. It was an expensive Ted Baker peacoat which was impressive for how young he was. I
worked out frequently and could tell by his body that he had been skipping leg day. His chest,
however, was ridiculously huge, almost as if it wasn't even real. My eyes drifted towards the
right of the train. I began to critique a young blonde when the man with the jacket began to walk
in my direction. He was walking fast, darting straight to the bathroom when his coat flap floated
up. I couldn't believe what I saw; it looked like a homemade bomb strapped to his chest. Spending
the next few minutes convincing myself that what I just saw wasn't what I thought it was, I began
to panic. Next thing I know, he's busting out of the bathroom with a gun and I was forced to
prepare for what was going to happen next. It didn't take long for everybody on the train to panic.
It rushed through each row as the sobs and cries made their way to every passenger. It was an
orchestra of agony and it

9. A Descriptive Essay : The Man
The Man The green grass has nothing on his beautiful, emerald eyes. The soft smiles he gives me
in the hallways light up the world. A face like heaven, but with a jawline so sharp it could cut
your fingers. The way his muscles tense when I rub his arms after a long, sweaty day of baseball
is like holding a bowling ball. Messing with his fluffy hair is like cotton candy I could tear into
everyday. The noises he makes are so crazy they become comforting. His smell is very unique,
just like a cozy house on a winter day. A mammoth's heart is non comparable to how big of a heart
he has for the ones he loves. I get a delightful tingly sensation when his manly, but modulated voice
speaks to me on the phone at night. No Channing Tatum can compare how handsome he looks in
my eyes. The flirtation winks he gives me while walking to the dugout when he sees me looking
at him. When I look at him I see a beautiful person inside and out. The way he laughs, you'd think
we were at a comedy show. Hearing him laugh until he's crying is the best feeling you get in your
body that just brightens your day and all you can do is just stare and admire him. The warm, soft
hugs he gives is like laying in a freshly made bed after everything has been washed. His eyes dilate
every time he looks at me and you can just see the happiness in his eyes. When he holds my hand
in stores it's like having my own personal guardian angel taking me towards the right way in life. He
cares so much about what I want

10. Descriptive Essay About My Village
Wherever I am, I find it hard to resist the tempting call of my hometown. My hometown is a small
village located in Shandong province. There are about two thousand people in the village. Small
as it is, it's a very beautiful place and has its own folk culture. The weather is warm in winter and
cool in summer. It's a good place for tourism. The most attractions in the village are the river
around my hometown and the green hills opposite the river. On the hills there are large tea
plantations and fruit trees. The river, in which there are all kinds of big and smooth cobbles,
flows gurgling in four seasons, with groups of fish and shrimps playing in the water. When spring
was coming, the fields look like a green carpet, and the willows by the river are putting forth a lot
of tender branches. With breeze blowing, the long thin branches gently brush the cool and
refreshing water; there are groups of ducks having fun in the river. Spring is also a season of
sowing. When the parents are working in the field, the child are playing all kinds of games near
the river, such as swing, eagle catches chicken, seesaw and so on. Summer follows spring. The
children sit on the large stones in the river, where they pat the water and make splashes. The
sound of water, and the noise of the children's chatting and laughing are mixed together. The birds
in the woods are unwilling to be lonely, singing and dancing with joy. The old people sat under
the big trees talking about their life experiences. The government has set up a drift on the slope
of the mountain, so you can experience a great drifting experience on the hot summer day.
Autumn is a bright and colorful season. The leaves of the trees along the river are as red as fire
like pieces of rosy clouds. The paddy fields glitter in the sunshine, with dropping ears of rice.
They ripple in the autumn wind just like a golden sea. The fish in the water jumped out of the
water. A large group of people are fishing with a harpoon along the river. They set up a grill,
enjoying a great seafood feast. In winter, the pine trees on the hills stand like soldiers. They are
evergreen. The children lead an active life though the weather is very cold; they skate and dance in
the snow,

12. Descriptive Essay On The Old House
I turned around, looking back at my old room. The paint on the wall is peeling off, the ceiling
was falling apart, and the floor was cracking open. This was the house I have been living for
thirteen years, and now I need to leave. Mom and dad bought this house from an old man, then
thirteen years past, this is 2004. yes, it is already 2004, how fast is it! I stood there, staring at the
empty room with only a little furniture. I can't feel home, where is my home? I don't know this
weird feeling. Happy and sad at the same time. However, if I left, is it going to be an enjoyable
life, or it is going to be another way that leads me to my doom? I kept repeating in my mind. Isn't
this what I was always hoping? To leave this old and dirty house? I told myself to not panic. I
turned and look at the broken window, the reflection of myself. Dark black hair, brown eyes, and
a friendly smile. Everyone like me in this village, if I move to a new place, they will like me too.
Would they? Everything is fine as I expected. But, as I step into our old truck, as I heard the old
engine's rumbling sound, I suddenly realized what am I facing. I am facing the unknown, it's like a
black hole, you never know what is going to happen when you step inside. It's endless. As this
thought continuously flows through my mind, my eye lid started to felt heavier, heavier and

13. Descriptive Essay On Being Alone
Alone. My emotions all pertained to this word – : being neglected because I was different from
others. My prickly exterior caused people to overlook me. And my friends, let's just say I didn't
have any. I never had an intention to hurt anyone, but this was who I was and the reason for my
loneliness. As days, months, even years passed, people ignored the true beauty in me. I was
constantly left sitting alone in the cold, damp corner with no one to interact with. This was my
fate. My life was basically forlorn. I was going to be alone, forever. It wasn't until a sunny,
summer day when hope came in the form of hands picking me up from the dark place I was
sitting. It was the first time someone examined me! This boy, my new owner, had passion
gleaming from his eyes: he was waiting for this moment to pick me up and take me home. But
why me? Why after all this waiting has someone finally chose me? After all, there were plenty of
other plants at the store. Why a cactus? As he carried me back to his house I began to worry.
What if I was ignored and placed in the corner like at the store? There was a maelstrom of conflicts
and apprehensions inside me, but as we entered his home, it was empty. I was his first plant! Being
the first plant in a house was a privilege, and it was unbelievable that a plant as insignificant as me
was given this privilege. My owner's hospitality was endless: I was constantly fed water when
thirsty, fed fertilize r when hungry, and given enough sunlight when cold to grow. It was like he
could read my mind and gavegive me whatever I wanted, whenever I needed it. The feeling of
loneliness was fading away, and I felt as if I finally had someone who cared about me. Rather than
judging my current deamor like the rest of the customers, my owner saw my inner beauty, thus,
forming an unbreakable bond between us. Being a cactus made it hard for me to fit in with other
plants, yet after all the time I spent with my owner–or should I say caretaker– I felt that everything
was going to be fine, that was until... My caretaker began to gain a passion for other plants, and
when summer arrived there came a different plant every month ranging from trending tropical to
durable desert plants. His home was

special she was to so many people. We all went to the pub she used to work at afterwards and it felt

15. Descriptive Essay About A Hero
When talking about a hero, some people might think of a veteran, a fire fighter, or even
superman. The definition of the word "hero" varies between different people; however, my
definition of a hero is someone who is selfless, brave, and strong. Someone who doesn't runaway
when things get hard, who gives their all just for the wellbeing of others regardless of the strain it
puts on themselves. When thinking of the word "hero" the only person who comes to my mind
is my cousin Cassy. Cassy fits my own personal description of a hero; she is selfless, brave, and
strong. She doesn't run away when things get tough and most importantly, she looks out for
others no matter what the situation is. What is a hero to you? On September 24th of 2017, my
parents, along with my sister and I, walked into my grandma's house around three o'clock in the
afternoon. My aunt Patty had told us she had very important news for us to hear that evening. As
we sat down in the living room of my grandma's small condo, everybody looked at one another
awkwardly waiting for someone to speak first. My mom started the conversation by asking how
long my aunt was going to be in town. My aunt slightly teared up as she tried to spit out her
response. She began to tell us that she was actually moving back home to Fargo from the farm
place her and her boyfriend lived at near Devils Lake. My aunt started to stutter after a while and

Another factor that plays a part in why I am shaped how I am is my family's economic

Sadness. Some people will say they learned how to drive this summer, or they learned how to
waterski. But I learned what sadness is.
My mum and I spent two weeks with my grandfather and grandmother this summer. I knew my
grandfather's health was failing. I knew he wasn't doing well. But I had absolutely no conception
of how bad it was. He couldn't take ten steps without yelping in pain. He couldn't do much of
anything by himself. Those two weeks were spent helping my grandparents any way I possibly

My eyes were clouded over and I just kept hearing the words that the principal had said over and

"How can someone just be gone?" I pleaded with my mum, but probably more with God than her.
"How can someone be here one day, and then gone the next?' Tears began to fill my eyes and
cloud my vision. "How is it that someone dies when their body fails them? How is it that one day
Grandad will be gone, and I won't be able to talk to him anymore, or call him, or play scrabble with
him? It's just not fair!"
I collapsed into tears while my mum pulled over. We just sat there for a while, both hugging each
other and crying our eyes out. There was so much sadness in me. It was like a black hole,
swallowing me up from the inside. It was an intense form of grief that I had never felt before. I
would cry and feel my whole body shaking, tears coming out of my eyes, but my soul also gasping
inside of me, trying to throw out that black hole, but instead getting consumed.
