2. Why does the teaching profession is so
unpopular these days?
Students who are interested in devoting
their lives to teaching has decreased
considerably and so has the graduate rate at
the end of every academic year.
At this pace, in fifty years from
now, teachers will either
become extinct or be in danger
of extinction.
“A good teacher is like a candle,
It onsumes itself
To give light the way for others”
Mustafa Kemal Atatürk
3. The answer, I believe, lies in
society as a whole. While is it that
some time ago our grandparents
highly respected teacher because
they believed they were the ones
who would help their children
develop the personal, social and
academic skills they needed to
succeed in life.
“The mediocre teacher tells, the
good teacher explains, the superior
teacher demonstrates, the great
teacher inspires”
William Arthur Ward
4. Schools are organizations which need to
guarantee that teaching and learning are going
on and when families decide to send their
children to one and not to another, it is because
they believe that institution will add to the
personal and social education that started off at
home. Yes! Families educate on values and we
keep on working on them and teach!
Don't try to fix the students, fix ourselves
first. The good teacher makes the poor
student good and the good student
superior. When our students fail, we, as
teachers, too. failed.
