1. Flexible Hoses -Types, Benefits and Uses
Flexible hoses are used for transferring fluids including liquids like chemicals, oils,
and water, and gases fluids like gases, steam and air. They function for absorption
of thermal expansion, centering and vibration of piping, and for reciprocation of
piping systems.
2. Dimensions of Flexible Hoses –
Type A
Type A flexible hoses are designed by using
corrugating thin-walled stainless steel
pipes. These are high-quality hoses
exposed to the entire solution heat
treatment. Their corrugations are designed
similar to individual rings which do not
bent even under the high pressure.
Type A Flexible hoses are highly flexible and
have outstanding pressure resistance,
corrosion resistance and great strength to
withstand in diverse conditions.
Standard Specifications:
Tape braid: 50 A (28) or more
Flexible hose materials - SUS304 and
SUS316L
Braid material - SUS304
Wire braid: 250 A (108) or less
3. Type SF (Superfree):
They are highly flexible and light-weighted in
comparison to conventional products like
the result of improvement of waveform and
thickness.
The running cost can be decreased by using
these flexi hoses
Type SF flexible hoses have increased service
life and they work in improved working
efficiency
Standard specifications:
Flexible hose materials SUS304 and SUS316L
Wire braid: Applicable to different sizes
Braid material - SUS304
Type HC (Equivalent to HASTELLOY C-22):
They are made of nickel alloy (similar to HASTELLOY C-22). They nickel alloy is acquired by adding a
large amount of chromium and molybdenum to the nickel base depicts the high corrosion resistance
than the stainless steel.
4. Special materials used in flexi hose:
