Grant Proposals: A Case Study
To begin, the first thing that I believe represent significant challenges to success in writing grant
proposals when seeking funding from the federal government is making sure that I have
documenting organizational support. This means that I need to consider my application approval
and supporters of the sponsoring organization Bauer, (2015, p. 95). I will consider the supporters of
the sponsoring organization by filling out the Pre–proposal Summary & Approval Form before I
actual spend time writing my proposal. I will be able to share my ideas first to receive the
comments from organization leaders to endorse my solution and receive criticism of what may not
be a solution. This form can aid in helping me to test the acceptance of my idea with my superiors as
they agree on the use of the institutional resources before the proposal development.
The second significant challenge to success is how I can benefit by use of the Pre–proposal
Summary & Approval Form being approved before the actual proposal is submitted. The form will
be reviewed by the people who will sign the final proposal before it is sent in Bauer, (2015, p.96).
Time, money and the resources spent on the proposal preparation process will not result in failure
of approval for the grant seeker when plans for lack of...show more content...
By doing so, the grant seeker will have access to the grantors priorities and the scoring rubric that
the reviewers will use in evaluating and recommending proposal for funding. The grant seeker will
be able to ask questions that may not have been covered in the program descriptions to help meet
the program guidelines. The more you find out about how the projects are funded and how they are
submitted to be evaluated will help the grant seeker to prepare a winning proposal p. 149 as they

Proposal For Immigration To America
Brief history
The history of Immigration to The United States of America started with the movement of people to
The U.S. It first started with European settlements from around 1600. Many Immigrants came
searching for religious freedom and others came for greater economic opportunities. According to,
www.Americanimmigrationcouncil.org, '' The immigration and naturalization act (INA), the body of
law governing current immigration policy, provides for an annual worldwide limit of 675,000
permanent immigrants, with certain exceptions for close family members.''
What is your bill proposing? My bill is proposing that immigrants have three years maximum to get
all their paperwork done in order to stay in The United States of America. If they do not get their
paperwork done before the three years, they will get deported to their native country. After they
have finished the paperwork of becoming a resident of The United States, They will need their
Green card. Wikipedia states, '' The Green card also refers to an immigration process of becoming a
permanent resident. The green card serves as proof that it's holder, A lawful permanent resident
(LPR), has been officially granted immigration benefits, which includes permission to reside and take
employment to the United states of America.''...show more content...
My bill is beneficial for society because many immigrants will be able to be a permanent resident
of The United States of America. Being a permanent resident allows you to get employed and be
protected by all laws of The United States. According to, www.USCIS.gov, '' As a permanent
resident, you are:
Required to obey all laws of The United States of America.
Required to fill your income tax returns and report your income to the U.S Internal revenue service

Business Proposal
Business proposal
A business proposal is perhaps one of the most critical documents you need to learn how to write. It
is what spells the difference between success and failure, whether you're a freelancer or you have a
company of your own.
In today's cut–throat business world, entrepreneurs find themselves spending hours upon hours
submitting business proposals to potential clients, and not get any results. On the other hand, there
are those that are like snipers, able to get the contract after just submitting one business proposal.
So how do they do it? Well, this article will teach you show you how to do just that.
The Basics of a Business Proposal
Before you even go and start writing that business proposal, you must first understand...show more

Pricing Information
For many clients, the pricing information is what will make them decide whether they would offer
you the contract or not.
How to write this part greatly depends on the solution or solutions you included in the previous
segment. If the solution proposed will only entail a short period of time, a Fee Summary will
suffice. For longer projects, segment these payments to specific milestones in a Fee Schedule list.
Things to Remember When Writing a Business Proposal
Now that you know the essentials of a winning business proposal, it's time to go ahead and start
writing, right? Well, not exactly.
The next part is to be able to find out what to put under the 3 Ps so that you can develop a business
proposal that gets their attention and awards you that contract.
Do Your Research
Not all clients and buyers will give you the explicit details of their wants and needs, especially if
you're submitting an unsolicited business proposal. Extend your research9 to include the
competitors of your potential client, and their customers as well. This will ensure that your business
proposal will be as comprehensive and as detailed as possible.
Put Yourself in their Shoes
Another thing to remember when writing a business proposal is to always put yourself in the shoes
of your potential clients. Doing this will help you provide information on things that they would

Project Proposal Essay
Project Proposal INTRODUCTION
Topic and Purpose
This proposal identifies the need for a document, which will propose and develop reasons why a
for–profit transportation service for Kent should be perused. This service should be considered
because of the recent parking and commuting problems both on and off campus.
There have been many reasons why on–campus parking has become difficult in recent years.
Increased student enrollment at Kent State University has posed many problems. The parking lots
cannot facilitate the growing need for vehicle parking. Campus officials have undertaken
construction projects to curb the parking problem, but these renovations have closed lots in the near
term. Also, the increased enrollment of...show more content...
The demand for student bus transportation has far exceeded the supply. Also, vandalism and
automotive theft has nearly doubled since 1997. DUI convictions have quadrupled in the city of
Kent since last year. The need for public transportation is quite clear.
Because of this evident crisis in transportation, a solution must be in order.
Scope
This proposal will outline and validate the impending document generally. First the general nature of
the document will be discussed; then the ensuing proposal will be outlined.
DISCUSSION OF PROPOSAL
Proposal
The proposed document must be constructed to demonstrate the need for a new for–profit
transportation service. It will present a business plan, and then go into detail about characteristics
specific to this service.
Methodology
Information about competitive transportation services will be gathered. Questionnaires will be
distributed to students and faculty of Kent State University in order to gather customer insight. Also,
a financial consulting firm will be hired to provide professional assistance. Document Outline
The proposed document will include the following specific sections. This outline is tentative and
may be adjusted in accord with new developments.
Description of Business Entity and General Operations Type of BusinessType of Legal Entity Type
of Facilities Organizational Structure
Type of Service the Business will provide

Compare And Contrast Two And Proposal
Proposal one and proposal two have great similarities and differences, however while both
proposals aim for an alike objective, one proposal is more detailed in how to accomplish the set
goal, is more logistically feasible, appeals to more members of the community, and will most
likely raise more money. Proposal one and proposal two both suggest a specific type of
fundraiser, include certain specifics on how to conduct the fundraiser, and include ideas about
the people the fundraiser would appeal to. Proposal one suggests that the prime way to get people
invested in the library is by presenting them with the joy of reading. For this reason, proposal one
believes the library should hold a book sale, and in this book sale, people could donate books they no
longer have a want for, and the librarians could find books the library no longer needs. Furthermore,
the books should be inexpensive so more people would be willing to buy them. For example, fifty
cents for paperback books and two dollars for hardcover books. According to the first proposal, this
book sale would appeal to people of all ages from children to the elderly, and if visitors do not find a
book of their liking there...show more content...
Proposal two is the better option because it is more logistically feasible, it appeals to more
members of the community, and will most likely raise more money than proposal one. Proposal
two is more logistically feasible because it contains more detail regarding the fundraiser, proposal
two appeals to more members of the community because not everyone in the community are
interested in reading, however, many individuals of the community have parents or adults who
have cars and would like them clean, proposal two will most likely raise more money because it
will charge about ten dollars per car washed and if the fundraiser washes more than forty cars it will
have made four hundred dollars which will go to the

Sensory Room Proposal
This proposal is to fund money for sensory equipment for Autism Inc. sensory room. The sensory
room will provide a place to work on sensory stimulation for children ages 2–16 years old that have
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The sensory room will help fulfill the sensory needs of these
children so they attend task and/ or self–regulate their sensory stimuli. By assisting these children
with sensory integration, the children will become more self–regulated and be able to control their
behaviors associated with ASD. There is evidence provided within this proposal that includes sensory
integration being an important contributor to ASD children sensory stimulus to self regulate and

RE: Proposal for Final Project
I request that you accept my topic for the Writing 465 final project. Hopefully, I will be able to use
this project to help alleviate the current parking problem at Winthrop University. Jack Allen, from
Campus Police, and Walter Hardin, Associate Vice President for Facilities Management, have shown
interest in my project.
BACKGROUND
Winthrop University is a small public school with an enrollment of 5,065 undergraduate students
(Fall 2002). Although there is a wonderful parking system...show more content...
After years more of complaining, they decided to add a parking garage to their campus. Although
this garage eliminated 200 spaces, it added 613. The price of this garage was $5.5 million. Arkansas
State used the parking deck, as well as the reserved parking system to help alleviate their situation.
Many other campuses utilize the same systems, such as: University of Cincinnati, University of
Iowa, University of Louisville, University of Pittsburgh, University of South Florida, University of
Tennessee, University of Wisconsin, and many more.
There are currently only a handful of reserved spaces on campus, and the ground has yet to be
broken for the construction of the parking deck. In fact, Winthrop University does not even have
all the funds needed to build this parking deck. When I approached Jack Allen, of Campus Police,
with my idea of reserved parking spaces, he told me that he thought it was a good idea. Walter
Hardin, when given the same idea, seemed to think that the reserved parking system would not
realistically work out but was open to the proposal.
PROPOSED PROJECT
I am planning to find the funding needed to establish reserved parking at Winthrop University
through Campus Police and the current traffic and parking system. Hopefully, Winthrop University
and Campus Police will recognize the need and responsibility to fund these reserved parking spaces.

The growing number of homeless Americans in the United States is concerning and depressing. The
issue is people are homeless and don't have anywhere to go. The plan to advocate for finding a
solution for homeless people would be to constantly request students to be volunteers. These
volunteers could work in the local soup kitchen or Salvation Army. These would only be helping
temporary solutions to a long term issues. Advocating students and others to research homeless
populations around them and have a encounter with a homeless person to experience.

Proposal for Research on Fast Foods Essay
Proposal: Change in the fast food industry (we can take a specific restaurant like McDonald's) to
fight obesity
Fast food and obesity
The relationship between a nation's fast food consumption and its rate of obesity has been studied.
Schlosser said "it seems wherever America's fast food chains go, waistlines inevitably start
expanding."
Schlosser argues that the North America has the highest obesity rate of any industrialized nation.
More than half of all adults and about one–quarter of all children are now classified as obese or
overweight. Those proportions are believed to have increased dramatically during the last few
decades, along with the consumption of fast food, with the rate of obesity among North American
children twice as...show more content...

recreation.
Here are some changes that McDonald's implemented as a response to critique its unhealthy foods to
give consumers more choices and healthier alternatives. Such initiatives include: * The introduction
of the Salads Plus menu. This is now a permanent feature on the McDonalds menu, which brings a
healthier, lighter focus to the original menu, consisting of a range of products that have 10 grams of
fat or less, per serve. * Introducing nutrition information panels on the packaging of regular menu
items. This allows for enhanced consumer information and education, enabling individuals and
families to make better dietary choices. * Introducing hamburger buns that are low in sugar. *
Reducing the calorie / kilojoule (energy) and sugar content of Salads Plus muffin and yoghurt menu
items. * Launching an alternative (healthier) Happy Meal for children, containing fruit and
vegetables. * Using a liquid canola cooking oil blend in restaurants, to aim for enhanced cooking
methods. * Introducing a new breakfast menu known as "Quickstart". McDonald's have teamed up
with some of Australia's favourite brands to launch this new menu, which offers cereals, fruit,
yoghurt and juices (that's an example of what was done in Australia, we can offer to implement it
here, in Canada). * In America, McDonald's has made available

School Bullying and the Attempts to Prevent it.
School bullying and bullying as a whole has become a growing concern. The need for more
intervention is more recognized, as incidents of bullying and inappropriate acts towards others
occur in places outside of the classroom. This literature takes a closer look at bullying in schools.
Olwesus (2013) states "the field of bullying research is to some extent plagued by problems,
disagreements, and unresolved issues" (p.752). Whether if anyone will agree on the root of
bullying, the fact remains that bullying has to be examined at its very core to remedy the matter
before it becomes a bigger concern. There is a dire need for intervention based programs to be set
in place to address the fact the act of bullying has lasting effects on the bully and the victim. When
intervention programs are put into place to address bullying, the act of bullying decreases due to the
gained understanding of the effects.
What effects does bullying have on the bully and the victim?

Childcare Program staff to give them comprehensive , performance –based training on how to plan
and carry out developmentally appropriate out –of–school and all day programs for children from six
weeks through six grade. The course is offered in the form of fifteen modules developed by

Together, these learners can come up with best ways to positively interact with the children in their
development as well as how to deal with issues when they occur. If there are pictures shown on the
smart board how to set up a classroom and the trainers explaining the rationale behind why the
classroom needs to be set up that way, the trainers will have then reached program assistants with
different styles of learning all at once.
With the program assistants being provided with laptops, they can easily access the resources on
their own time as well as use the laptops with the smart board when there is interactive learning
going on. Another way in which the laptops could be used, is to assist the program assistants to
work on projects individually and then discussing and working on these projects as a group on the
smart board.

YUSH: Youth Understanding Sexual Health
A Proposal for a Family Life Education Program
Studies show that the national average for an adolescent's first sexual intercourse encounter is
seventeen years old. Despite this number being very close to the average age in other industrialized
countries, the United States holds a higher percentage of teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted
disease (STD) contraction than those countries (Harper et al, 2010, p. 125). It's becoming evident
that while a majority of the nation's youth is sexually active, they are not doing so with the
appropriate knowledge to keep themselves and others healthy.
It's been proven that if parents were to educate students about sex education, healthy sexual...show

target audience, it will be necessary to have several different groups. The groups can be separated
by grade, with about 20 – 25 students in each group. These groups would meet during their health
classes during school hours, but without regular teachers and/or administrators in the rooms, so that
the adolescents feel comfortable.
The curriculum of the YUSH program takes place once a week for seven weeks, with approximately

Proposal On Gender Inequality
Research Proposal
Anna Ford
10/4/2017
SOC 210 Section 4102
Section 1
Gender Inequality has been a problem for centuries, and is still a huge problem today, which is why
I am choosing to write about it. The basic definition for gender inequality is simple. The textbook
says that gender inequality "takes the form of patriarchy, or male dominance" (Ferris, Stein, pg
246). This form of gender inequality can be explained by taking a look at some of the earliest
societies. Hunting and weapon making were needed for survival. Men were expected to do that
job, because women didn't have the same physical stature as men did. What the women were
expected to do was cooking the food the men brought back home, cleaning, and bearing/taking care
of the children. Patriarchy doesn't just affect women, it affects everyone. For example, since
women are seen as the emotional ones, and the ones that need to be taken care of and need
protection, if a guy gets emotional, he is told to "man up", and "quit acting like a baby". Society
thinks that it is wrong for men to show emotions and cry. The negative effects of patriarchy on
women also negatively effects the men just as much.
The past societies saw men being the protectors and women being the stay at home and nurturing
figures. The textbook tells us that here are two roles in a family setting. One of those roles is the
instrumental role. The instrumental role is "the position of the family member who provides the
family's Material support and is

the largest of our capital expenditures, it necessitated multiple quotes. Additional equipment quotes
were also obtained in order to provide a comprehensive cost analysis. Datascope provided a quote

The Critical Race Theory Essay example
Introduction
We live in a society where race is seen as a vital part of our personalities, the lack of racial identity
is very often an important factor which prevent people from not having their own identity (Omi &
Winant, 1993). Racism is extemely ingrained in our society and it seems ordinary (Delgado &
Stefanic, 2000), however, many people denounce the expression of any racist belief as immoral
(Miles & Brown, 2003) highlighting the complicated nature of racism. Critical Race Theory tries to
shed light on the issue of racism claiming that racism is ingrained in our society both in legal,
cultural, and psychological aspects of social life (Tate, 1997). This essay provides us the opportunity
to explore this theory and its...show more content...
Critical Race Theory (CRT) claims that racism is quite usual in social life and white superiority is
extremely ingrained in educational, legal, and political structures which is often unrecognizable
(Taylor, 2009). According to Delgado and Stefanic (2000):
''CRT begins with an a number of basic insticts. One is that racism is normal, not abberrant, in
American society. Because racism is an ingrained feature of our landscape, it looks ordinary and
natural to persons in the culture. Formal equal opportunity – rules and laws that insist on treating
blacks and whites (for example) alike – can thus remedy only the more extreme and shocking forms
of injustice, the ones that do stand out. It can do little about the business–as–usual forms of racism
that people of color confront every day and that account for much misery, alienation, and despair''
(Delgado & Stefanic, 2000: xvi).
Although, this theory began as a part of law sciences, nowadays, there is a great interest of CRT in
the field of education, helping people to understand some forms of discrimination which face the
non–white people in education (Delgado & Stefanic, 2001). Moreover, embraces a lot of academic
fields such as history, political science, anthropology etc (Delgado & Stefanic, 2001). CRT main
purpose is not only to understand the social structures that promote inequalities but to eliminate
them, it is clear that CRT targets on

Do you know the similarities and differences between a funding proposal and a research proposal?
According to the website learnerassociates.net/proposal, writing a funding proposal was created to
help empower people to be successful in gaining funds for projects that provide worthwhile social
service. Aresearch proposal considers your overall topic ideas, your research question, your
research process, and your sources and scaffolds what the next steps will be for the project. There
are similarities and differences between writing a funding proposal and a research proposal.
A research proposal is most often written by scholars seeking grant funding for a research project or
it's the first step in getting approval to write a doctoral dissertation. Even if this is just a course
assignment, the introduction is the initial pitch of an idea or a thorough examination of the
significance of a research problem. After reading the introduction, readers should not only
understand what is being proposed. Most proposals do not include an abstract before the
introduction. Background and Significance, this section can be melded into your introduction or
you can create a separate section to help with the organization and narrative flow of your proposal.
This is where you explain the context of your proposal and describe in detail why it's important.
Approach writing this section with the thought that you can't assume your readers will know as
much about the research problem as you do. Note

Proposal For Higher Education
Current Research
Current research over student debt and its burden has allowed an insight and analyzation over the
government's role in higher education at the federal, state, and local level. Through data of
institution cost efficiency and inefficiency, tax exporting, and the backgrounds of student borrowers,
policymakers and can create a visual representation of the importance of state allocations towards
higher education.
Government matters. A study done by Sav (2016), explores the decreases in state and federal Pell
Grant funding for public colleges in the United States whose funding decreased from 32% to 23%
from 2004–2013. Sav's study concluded that state funding appropriations contributed significantly to
the higher education...show more content...
Second, it is crucial that the states, rather than the federal government solely, play a more concrete
role in reducing the burden for millions of student borrowers. Third, policymakers should take into
consideration the dynamics and backgrounds of the student body in higher education institutions
when considering appropriations.
Collective Themes
Several themes and elements are recurrent in this research of college affordability. Federalism
concerns add fuel to the debate of the role of government in higher education policymaking. Ethical,
equity, economic, and political issues arise that divide citizens between considering higher education
a public or a private good, whether it has economic benefits, and whether it is worth taxpayer dollars.
The themes are consistent through the perspectives of the history, media, government enactments,
public opinion, political parties, interest groups and research.
Federalism
The relationship between the national government and state governments has changed and expanded
immensely (Kraft & Furlong, 2015). How does the issue of rising tuition, high student loan interests,
and student debt detail federalism? The authority of each level of government is questioned in
education policy. How much power should the national government have over higher education?
Constitutionally, the national government only has explicitly enumerated

Part 1: The Differences between Formal Research and a Business Proposal Formal research and
business proposals may focus on researching the same problems and seek similar information, but
they have different "overall goals, sections, purposes and uses" (Jane, 2011). Understanding the
differences between the two can help a person be more effective in writing either a formal research

specific information or data that can help the business make better decisions, whether it is for the
budget, market or customers" (Jane, 2011). The research proposal has different sections than a
normal business proposal. The research proposal normally begins with an abstract and is in APA
format (PRISM, Unk.). Moreover, the ideas in a research proposal tend to be based on other
research and draws its information from other scholarly literature, preferably studies that have been
subject o peer review(PRISM, Unk.). It has an introduction and a conclusion. The problem in a
research project is carefully famed, "as a potential contribution to scholarly research" (PRISM,
Unk.). Furthermore, the research question is going to be stated in a way that is conducive to

Proposal For An Essay

  • 1. Grant Proposals: A Case Study To begin, the first thing that I believe represent significant challenges to success in writing grant proposals when seeking funding from the federal government is making sure that I have documenting organizational support. This means that I need to consider my application approval and supporters of the sponsoring organization Bauer, (2015, p. 95). I will consider the supporters of the sponsoring organization by filling out the Pre–proposal Summary & Approval Form before I actual spend time writing my proposal. I will be able to share my ideas first to receive the comments from organization leaders to endorse my solution and receive criticism of what may not be a solution. This form can aid in helping me to test the acceptance of my idea with my superiors as they agree on the use of the institutional resources before the proposal development. The second significant challenge to success is how I can benefit by use of the Pre–proposal Summary & Approval Form being approved before the actual proposal is submitted. The form will be reviewed by the people who will sign the final proposal before it is sent in Bauer, (2015, p.96). Time, money and the resources spent on the proposal preparation process will not result in failure of approval for the grant seeker when plans for lack of...show more content... By doing so, the grant seeker will have access to the grantors priorities and the scoring rubric that the reviewers will use in evaluating and recommending proposal for funding. The grant seeker will be able to ask questions that may not have been covered in the program descriptions to help meet the program guidelines. The more you find out about how the projects are funded and how they are submitted to be evaluated will help the grant seeker to prepare a winning proposal p. 149 as they gain valuable insights of what is Get more content on HelpWriting.net

If they do not get their paperwork done before the three years, they will get deported to their native country. • 3. Business Proposal Business proposal A business proposal is perhaps one of the most critical documents you need to learn how to write. It is what spells the difference between success and failure, whether you're a freelancer or you have a company of your own. In today's cut–throat business world, entrepreneurs find themselves spending hours upon hours submitting business proposals to potential clients, and not get any results. On the other hand, there are those that are like snipers, able to get the contract after just submitting one business proposal. So how do they do it? Well, this article will teach you show you how to do just that. The Basics of a Business Proposal Before you even go and start writing that business proposal, you must first understand...show more content... Pricing Information For many clients, the pricing information is what will make them decide whether they would offer you the contract or not. How to write this part greatly depends on the solution or solutions you included in the previous segment. If the solution proposed will only entail a short period of time, a Fee Summary will suffice. For longer projects, segment these payments to specific milestones in a Fee Schedule list. Things to Remember When Writing a Business Proposal Now that you know the essentials of a winning business proposal, it's time to go ahead and start writing, right? Well, not exactly. The next part is to be able to find out what to put under the 3 Ps so that you can develop a business proposal that gets their attention and awards you that contract. Do Your Research Not all clients and buyers will give you the explicit details of their wants and needs, especially if you're submitting an unsolicited business proposal. Extend your research9 to include the competitors of your potential client, and their customers as well. This will ensure that your business proposal will be as comprehensive and as detailed as possible. Put Yourself in their Shoes Another thing to remember when writing a business proposal is to always put yourself in the shoes of your potential clients. Doing this will help you provide information on things that they would Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Project Proposal Essay Project Proposal INTRODUCTION Topic and Purpose This proposal identifies the need for a document, which will propose and develop reasons why a for–profit transportation service for Kent should be perused. This service should be considered because of the recent parking and commuting problems both on and off campus. There have been many reasons why on–campus parking has become difficult in recent years. Increased student enrollment at Kent State University has posed many problems. The parking lots cannot facilitate the growing need for vehicle parking. Campus officials have undertaken construction projects to curb the parking problem, but these renovations have closed lots in the near term. Also, the increased enrollment of...show more content... The demand for student bus transportation has far exceeded the supply. Also, vandalism and automotive theft has nearly doubled since 1997. DUI convictions have quadrupled in the city of Kent since last year. The need for public transportation is quite clear. Because of this evident crisis in transportation, a solution must be in order. Scope This proposal will outline and validate the impending document generally. First the general nature of the document will be discussed; then the ensuing proposal will be outlined. DISCUSSION OF PROPOSAL Proposal The proposed document must be constructed to demonstrate the need for a new for–profit transportation service. It will present a business plan, and then go into detail about characteristics specific to this service. Methodology Information about competitive transportation services will be gathered. Questionnaires will be distributed to students and faculty of Kent State University in order to gather customer insight. Also, a financial consulting firm will be hired to provide professional assistance. Document Outline The proposed document will include the following specific sections. This outline is tentative and may be adjusted in accord with new developments.

  • 6. Compare And Contrast Two And Proposal Proposal one and proposal two have great similarities and differences, however while both proposals aim for an alike objective, one proposal is more detailed in how to accomplish the set goal, is more logistically feasible, appeals to more members of the community, and will most likely raise more money. Proposal one and proposal two both suggest a specific type of fundraiser, include certain specifics on how to conduct the fundraiser, and include ideas about the people the fundraiser would appeal to. Proposal one suggests that the prime way to get people invested in the library is by presenting them with the joy of reading. For this reason, proposal one believes the library should hold a book sale, and in this book sale, people could donate books they no longer have a want for, and the librarians could find books the library no longer needs. Furthermore, the books should be inexpensive so more people would be willing to buy them. For example, fifty cents for paperback books and two dollars for hardcover books. According to the first proposal, this book sale would appeal to people of all ages from children to the elderly, and if visitors do not find a book of their liking there...show more content... Proposal two is the better option because it is more logistically feasible, it appeals to more members of the community, and will most likely raise more money than proposal one. Proposal two is more logistically feasible because it contains more detail regarding the fundraiser, proposal two appeals to more members of the community because not everyone in the community are interested in reading, however, many individuals of the community have parents or adults who have cars and would like them clean, proposal two will most likely raise more money because it will charge about ten dollars per car washed and if the fundraiser washes more than forty cars it will have made four hundred dollars which will go to the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

September 22, 2003 To: Leslie Bickford From: Diana Ferry Put your initials here! RE: Proposal for Final Project I request that you accept my topic for the Writing 465 final project. Hopefully, I will be able to use this project to help alleviate the current parking problem at Winthrop University. Jack Allen, from Campus Police, and Walter Hardin, Associate Vice President for Facilities Management, have shown interest in my project. BACKGROUND Winthrop University is a small public school with an enrollment of 5,065 undergraduate students (Fall 2002). Although there is a wonderful parking system...show more content... After years more of complaining, they decided to add a parking garage to their campus. Although this garage eliminated 200 spaces, it added 613. The price of this garage was $5.5 million. Arkansas State used the parking deck, as well as the reserved parking system to help alleviate their situation. Many other campuses utilize the same systems, such as: University of Cincinnati, University of Iowa, University of Louisville, University of Pittsburgh, University of South Florida, University of Tennessee, University of Wisconsin, and many more. There are currently only a handful of reserved spaces on campus, and the ground has yet to be broken for the construction of the parking deck. In fact, Winthrop University does not even have all the funds needed to build this parking deck. When I approached Jack Allen, of Campus Police, with my idea of reserved parking spaces, he told me that he thought it was a good idea. Walter Hardin, when given the same idea, seemed to think that the reserved parking system would not realistically work out but was open to the proposal. PROPOSED PROJECT I am planning to find the funding needed to establish reserved parking at Winthrop University through Campus Police and the current traffic and parking system. Hopefully, Winthrop University and Campus Police will recognize the need and responsibility to fund these reserved parking spaces. My report will Get more content on HelpWriting.net

These would only be helping temporary solutions to a long term issues. Schlosser argues that the North America has the highest obesity rate of any industrialized nation. This is now a permanent feature on the McDonalds menu, which brings a healthier, lighter focus to the original menu, consisting of a range of products that have 10 grams of fat or less, per serve. * Introducing nutrition information panels on the packaging of regular menu items. This allows for enhanced consumer information and education, enabling individuals and families to make better dietary choices. * Introducing hamburger buns that are low in sugar. * Reducing the calorie / kilojoule (energy) and sugar content of Salads Plus muffin and yoghurt menu items. * Launching an alternative (healthier) Happy Meal for children, containing fruit and vegetables. * Using a liquid canola cooking oil blend in restaurants, to aim for enhanced cooking methods. * Introducing a new breakfast menu known as "Quickstart". McDonald's have teamed up with some of Australia's favourite brands to launch this new menu, which offers cereals, fruit, yoghurt and juices (that's an example of what was done in Australia, we can offer to implement it here, in Canada). * In America, McDonald's has made available Get more content on HelpWriting.net

School bullying and bullying as a whole has become a growing concern. The need for more intervention is more recognized, as incidents of bullying and inappropriate acts towards others occur in places outside of the classroom. This literature takes a closer look at bullying in schools. Olwesus (2013) states "the field of bullying research is to some extent plagued by problems, disagreements, and unresolved issues" (p.752). Whether if anyone will agree on the root of bullying, the fact remains that bullying has to be examined at its very core to remedy the matter before it becomes a bigger concern. There is a dire need for intervention based programs to be set in place to address the fact the act of bullying has lasting effects on the bully and the victim. When intervention programs are put into place to address bullying, the act of bullying decreases due to the gained understanding of the effects. What effects does bullying have on the bully and the victim? Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 15. Proposal On Gender Inequality Research Proposal Anna Ford 10/4/2017 SOC 210 Section 4102 Section 1 Gender Inequality has been a problem for centuries, and is still a huge problem today, which is why I am choosing to write about it. The basic definition for gender inequality is simple. The textbook says that gender inequality "takes the form of patriarchy, or male dominance" (Ferris, Stein, pg 246). This form of gender inequality can be explained by taking a look at some of the earliest societies. Hunting and weapon making were needed for survival. Men were expected to do that job, because women didn't have the same physical stature as men did. What the women were expected to do was cooking the food the men brought back home, cleaning, and bearing/taking care of the children. Patriarchy doesn't just affect women, it affects everyone. For example, since women are seen as the emotional ones, and the ones that need to be taken care of and need protection, if a guy gets emotional, he is told to "man up", and "quit acting like a baby". Society thinks that it is wrong for men to show emotions and cry. The negative effects of patriarchy on women also negatively effects the men just as much. The past societies saw men being the protectors and women being the stay at home and nurturing figures. The textbook tells us that here are two roles in a family setting. One of those roles is the instrumental role. The instrumental role is "the position of the family member who provides the family's Material support and is Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Heart failure is directly responsible for the death of 39,000 Americans every year, and is a contributing factor in the death of an additional 225,000 Americans (National Institutes of Health, 2004). As more people continue to live longer, the incidence of heart failure will become more common. A proposed budget for the first year to cover supplies, staffing, education, and equipment is estimated at $75,000. Suggested Vendors and Purchase Prices The facility chose to obtain quotes for the telemetry station from more than one vendor. Since this equipment would be the largest of our capital expenditures, it necessitated multiple quotes. Additional equipment quotes were also obtained in order to provide a comprehensive cost analysis. Datascope provided a quote for the telemetry central station and four telemetry portable packs. Total cost for this equipment came to $29,000. This was the lowest quote received. Datascope also provided a quote for an Accutorr Plus (noninvasive blood pressure monitoring); cost for this piece of equipment will be $2283.75. Phillips provided our second quote for the telemetry station. Total price for the telemetry central station and four telemetry portable packs is $30,750. Hill–Rom quote for two recliner chairs amounted to $645 each or two $1290. Estimated Costs Training Costs Initially, staffing of the CHF clinic will entail hiring one registered nurse three days a week. The nurse will work 10–hour shifts at the pay rate of $20/hr with an annual salary of $31,200. Add an additional 15% to the payroll Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. The Critical Race Theory Essay example Introduction We live in a society where race is seen as a vital part of our personalities, the lack of racial identity is very often an important factor which prevent people from not having their own identity (Omi & Winant, 1993). Racism is extemely ingrained in our society and it seems ordinary (Delgado & Stefanic, 2000), however, many people denounce the expression of any racist belief as immoral (Miles & Brown, 2003) highlighting the complicated nature of racism. Critical Race Theory tries to shed light on the issue of racism claiming that racism is ingrained in our society both in legal, cultural, and psychological aspects of social life (Tate, 1997). This essay provides us the opportunity to explore this theory and its...show more content... Critical Race Theory (CRT) claims that racism is quite usual in social life and white superiority is extremely ingrained in educational, legal, and political structures which is often unrecognizable (Taylor, 2009). According to Delgado and Stefanic (2000): ''CRT begins with an a number of basic insticts. One is that racism is normal, not abberrant, in American society. Because racism is an ingrained feature of our landscape, it looks ordinary and natural to persons in the culture. Formal equal opportunity – rules and laws that insist on treating blacks and whites (for example) alike – can thus remedy only the more extreme and shocking forms of injustice, the ones that do stand out. It can do little about the business–as–usual forms of racism that people of color confront every day and that account for much misery, alienation, and despair'' (Delgado & Stefanic, 2000: xvi). Although, this theory began as a part of law sciences, nowadays, there is a great interest of CRT in the field of education, helping people to understand some forms of discrimination which face the non–white people in education (Delgado & Stefanic, 2001). Moreover, embraces a lot of academic fields such as history, political science, anthropology etc (Delgado & Stefanic, 2001). CRT main purpose is not only to understand the social structures that promote inequalities but to eliminate them, it is clear that CRT targets on Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. Do you know the similarities and differences between a funding proposal and a research proposal? According to the website learnerassociates.net/proposal, writing a funding proposal was created to help empower people to be successful in gaining funds for projects that provide worthwhile social service. Aresearch proposal considers your overall topic ideas, your research question, your research process, and your sources and scaffolds what the next steps will be for the project. There are similarities and differences between writing a funding proposal and a research proposal. A research proposal is most often written by scholars seeking grant funding for a research project or it's the first step in getting approval to write a doctoral dissertation. Even if this is just a course assignment, the introduction is the initial pitch of an idea or a thorough examination of the significance of a research problem. After reading the introduction, readers should not only understand what is being proposed. Most proposals do not include an abstract before the introduction. Background and Significance, this section can be melded into your introduction or you can create a separate section to help with the organization and narrative flow of your proposal. This is where you explain the context of your proposal and describe in detail why it's important. Approach writing this section with the thought that you can't assume your readers will know as much about the research problem as you do. Note Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Second, it is crucial that the states, rather than the federal government solely, play a more concrete role in reducing the burden for millions of student borrowers. Third, policymakers should take into consideration the dynamics and backgrounds of the student body in higher education institutions when considering appropriations. Collective Themes Several themes and elements are recurrent in this research of college affordability. Federalism concerns add fuel to the debate of the role of government in higher education policymaking. Ethical, equity, economic, and political issues arise that divide citizens between considering higher education a public or a private good, whether it has economic benefits, and whether it is worth taxpayer dollars. The themes are consistent through the perspectives of the history, media, government enactments, public opinion, political parties, interest groups and research. Federalism The relationship between the national government and state governments has changed and expanded immensely (Kraft & Furlong, 2015). How does the issue of rising tuition, high student loan interests, and student debt detail federalism? The authority of each level of government is questioned in education policy. • 22. Part 1: The Differences between Formal Research and a Business Proposal Formal research and business proposals may focus on researching the same problems and seek similar information, but they have different "overall goals, sections, purposes and uses" (Jane, 2011). Understanding the differences between the two can help a person be more effective in writing either a formal research proposal or a business proposal. For a research proposal, the goals tend to focus on "finding specific information or data that can help the business make better decisions, whether it is for the budget, market or customers" (Jane, 2011). The research proposal has different sections than a normal business proposal. The research proposal normally begins with an abstract and is in APA format (PRISM, Unk.). Moreover, the ideas in a research proposal tend to be based on other research and draws its information from other scholarly literature, preferably studies that have been subject o peer review(PRISM, Unk.). It has an introduction and a conclusion. The problem in a research project is carefully famed, "as a potential contribution to scholarly research" (PRISM, Unk.). Furthermore, the research question is going to be stated in a way that is conducive to research and allows for the easy identification of the independent and dependent variables (PRISM, Unk.). It also generally has a methods section, which is not usually part of a business proposal. The methods section will be qualitative, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
