Clients seen profile download These downloads return the profiles of clients who have had at least one contact recorded in the period at a bureau location.  It includes all clients seen, not just those starting a new enquiry. There are two versions of this report: one which shows results for the whole bureau level and one which breaks results down by outlet and month.  Bureau version  This report will allow you to look more deeply at the profile of clients who visit your bureau in a given quarter. When running the report you must select the bureau, financial year and quarter. If a client has one or more contacts at any outlet of the bureau in the period, the client’s profile will appear on the download. The client’s profile is only displayed once in this download, regardless of how many contacts there were. Outlet version The outlet version of the download contains all of the fields in the bureau version, plus fields for outlet and month. When selecting this report, you must choose the bureau, financial year and quarter, but you can also choose a specific month within the quarter and/or choose an outlet of the bureau if you wish. This download shows the profiles of unique clients seen at each outlet and within each month.  Therefore, if a client has contacts at different outlets in the same month, or the same outlet in different months, the client’s profile will appear more than once in this download.   See the  next slide  for an example of how the Outlet version works. Fields in these downloads financial quarter income profile client ref number household type age range housing tenure age marital status gender child dependants disability adult dependants health problems post code local client code local authority occupation local authority ward ethnicity parliamentary constituency nationality MP preferred languages primary care trust read English bureau speak English month (outlet version only) write English outlet (outlet version only)
If you chose to filter the report for Outlet North and month June, the report will return Mr. Jones’ profile once.  Even though he visited the outlet twice in that month, it will return the profile once per location per month. If you choose to filter the report for North outlet for the whole quarter (i.e. don’t filter the report for a specific month in the quarter), then the report will return Mr. Jones’ profile twice: once for his visit in April and once for his visit in June.  The lines will be the same, except the months column will say in which month the contact took place. If you do not filter the report for outlet but do filter it for month, for example April, then the report will return Mr. Jones’ profile twice: once for his visit to North outlet and once for his visit to East outlet – both of which happened in April. Finally, if you run the report, but do not select a month (i.e. you will get results for all months in a quarter) and do not filter for an outlet (i.e. you will get results for all outlets of a bureau), the report will return Mr. Jones’ profile five times.  Once for his visit to North in April, and once for his visits to North in June; once for his visit to East in April and once for his visits in May; and once for his visits to West in June. This version of the report can be quite complex, therefore the best way to describe how the report works is through the following example about Mr. Jones, who has contacts in a bureau with three outlets.  In this example, Mr. Jones goes to a bureau that has three outlets, North, East and West.  Over one quarter, Mr. Jones visits the outlets a total of nine times.  Each of those visits is a contact. Those visits are shown in the diagram. Outlet Version Main Bureau North 1x in April 2x in June East 1x in April 2x in May West 3x in June

Finally, if you run the report, but do not select a month (i.e. you will get results for all months in a quarter) and do not filter for an outlet (i.e. you will get results for all outlets of a bureau), the report will return Mr. Jones’ profile five times. Once for his visit to North in April, and once for his visits to North in June; once for his visit to East in April and once for his visits in May; and once for his visits to West in June. This version of the report can be quite complex, therefore the best way to describe how the report works is through the following example about Mr. Jones, who has contacts in a bureau with three outlets. In this example, Mr. Jones goes to a bureau that has three outlets, North, East and West. Over one quarter, Mr. Jones visits the outlets a total of nine times. Each of those visits is a contact.
