On September 28th of 2012, a solid rain episode took
place in Puerto Lumbreras that poured 120 litres/m2 in
one hour
Watercourses of Béjar and Viznaga overflowed
A wide area was flooded and several roads were
completely closed. As a result part of the population
had to be evacuated and even rescued from the
rooftops

q INUNMUR Plan was activated in pre-emergency stage on September
27th, because of AEMET warning. (State Meteorological Agency)
q Emergency Stage Level 1 for INUNMUR, was activated at 12:45 on
September 28th, and became a Level 2 at 13:05 due to unfavorable
evolution of the meteorological conditions. Military Emergency Unit (UME)
intervention was requested.

Lumbreras: El Campillo, Almenara, Altobordo, La Escucha
PUERTO LUMBRERAS COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER: it was moved to El Riscal Hotel, in the
same district.
PHONE: Interrupted in Puerto Lumbreras only 1 day (September 28th).
