1. Pop
The view from my seat was one which I had seen many times before. The field
was a bare, vast expanse of green, with the exception of those three damn clowns. Yes,
here they were again, torturing me with their forced smiles. Wasn’t it just yesterday
when I saw them behind me in line at Burger King? As I look down onto the field, I
realize now that the middle clown has begun his regular routine. Here we go; the
onslaught of running, stretching and sweating. Why is he continuously moving about,
making me a nervous wreck? During the course of my 2 hour observation, I see that the
other two are alternating between napping and snacking blissfully on oreos and coke.
And of course, I know what’s coming next. Like a blowfish, I begin to swell. My
features are distorting as the metal of my rings begins to pierce my skin. I feel the
