2. Set Design
• We chose a home setting to make the
environment feel like a ‘reality’ to make the
audience feel comfortable. A home is a safe
environment which would mean that the
audience would trust what is going on – even
though later thee scene will change and the
setting will change.
3. Space
• Opening Scene(s)/outside environment: there
is a wide ‘open space’ to keep the main
character in focus, and the camera panning
along with her allows the audience to become
comfortable with the environment, when the
character walks along the corridor.
• Entering the house/house scene: the space
reduces because of the ‘house conditions’ and
the home-like environment.
4. Lighting
1. There will be high key lighting (natural
lighting) to create the sense of a comfort and a
‘home-like-feel’.
2. Towards the end there will low key lighting to
change the environment and make the character
and audience feel uneasy.
5. Make-Up/Costume
• Make-Up: it will be natural and everyday
looking, because we want to creating an
everyday environment.
• Costume: the costumes will be everyday
looking, and natural, Mateo has a blanket
creating a home environment.
