Chandelier Oester Vandet
1. The Chandelier in Oester Vandet Church
By Kristian R. Krabbe
Text on the chandelier:
Paid for in honour of God and given to Oester Vandet
Church at the Christmas festival anno 1747 by the then Parish Vicar and
all the God-loving People of the Parish whose names are written below
to remind the descendants.
God's Light and Chandelier never goes out
for us on this pathless road,
but stands in full flame
for us and our descendants
that we must see God in his Word
until we can see his face.
Let God's Glow of Grace shine into
every Heart, soul and mind
that we may find the Force
and shine in Love
of God and our Neighbour, too.
Let it stand in eternal memory.

The original Danish text (on the chandelier) is written in an oldfashioned fashion and spelling.
