In 1905 Franklin married Eleanor.

School.

In 1910 Roosevelt was elected as a Democrat to New York Senate.

The Democratic Party chose Roosevelt to run for president in 1932.
With the depression worsening Roosevelt promised a “New Deal” for
millions of poor people.

By he time Roosevelt came in as
president in March 1933 about 13 million
people were unemployed in the US.
After Catching Polio...
Franklin always was
with a walking stick or
in a wheelchair. When
he was on the news his

want to think he was a
weak president.
Second Term...

By the time he began his second term in
1937 the economy had greatly improved.
On December 7, 1941, Japan bombed

Hawaii. The U.S. entered W.W. II.

When Roosevelt was elected his fourth

           fear itself.”
