3. From the results I found that my target audience preferred
a magazine to have a set colour scheme running
throughout the entire magazine. As a result I chose to use
yellow, white and red to attract and appeal to both
girls and boys. The colour scheme was also carried out
throughout the double page spread.
4. The answers given in my target audience research showed
me that my audience liked the front cover of my magazine
to have one main image and minimal text. I based my
product around this idea, by using one image of the young
artist who is featured in the magazine and the only writing
used is the titles of articles featured within the magazine. By
using this minimal text, it attracts my target audience at
they are drawn to the image of the artist, and they do not
have a lot of writing to read therefore are more likely to be
attracted to my front cover design.
5. Also, from my questionnaire I found that my target
audience preferred to read an article that was based solely
around one artist/band in particular. From this research I
decided to base my article around one artist, and not
include any information of any other artists. I also included
quotes from the artist herself to further emphasis
relationship between the artist and the reader.
6. In conclusion, I have based all of my decision’s around the
answers that I received from my target audience research,
as well as the knowledge I gained from my product
research. A combination of these knowledges allowed me
to create a magazine that will appeal to my target audience
by all of the aspects such as colours used, fonts, images and
also what was included in the magazine itself.
