Mitzvah Day 5769/2009 UPDATES AS OF 9/8/09
What?
A chance for the U.S.H. community — adults and children of all ages — to participate in one of 10
different community-service projects around our area, including:
• delivering Rosh HaShanah gifts to seniors,
• sending cards to soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan,
• Assisting at the Hoboken Jubilee Center, the Hoboken Boys and Girls Club, and an animal shelter,
• Educating families about nutrition,
• Preparing the United Synagogue of Hoboken building for the High Holidays,
• creating artwork for hospital patients,
• and more.
The day concludes with the USH Welcome Back Barbecue (4pm).

• Have fun
• Get a taste of a volunteer opportunity that you may be interested in doing regularly
