Steve Jobs convined Woz to design a
computer that they could sell, and Woz

4. At a Homebrew Computer Club meeting,
Apple I
Jobs demoed the Apple I. Jobs
convinced Byte Shop owner to buy 50
Apple Is - even though at that time, he
and Woz didn’t even have the money to
buy the parts.

5. Steve Jobs sold his VW van,
managed to borrow $5000 to
pay deposits, and convinced
suppliers to extend 30 days
credit on $15000 worth of parts.
They worked hard in Steve’s
parents garage for a month, and
earned $8000. Steve went
looking for funds at Sequoia.
Mark Markulla came on board,
Apple computer inc. was born
added more than $30k to Apple.

7. steve wanted to shake the world
by Apple ][. Designed the case
himself and ordered his staff to
polish the corners round with
sand-paper. Also hidden all
cables to make the computer
look friendly to general public.

8. woz wanted to build a new computer with
color and sound support, so he can play
Breakout. With AppleBASIC programmed
in the ROM and up to 8 slots, Apple //
was designed from the ground up to be a
developer friendly computer. It even has
support for upper case/lowers case for

9. Trade Show West Coast Computer Faire in
1977. Bill Gates became a Mac developer.
After Apple ][ got famous, IBM announced it
would start to sell PCs in 1981.
The Apple ii platform lasted from 1976-1989,
with install base of 2m.

and his influence on Apple products
this section is about some of the wild and
eccentric things Steve Jobs said or did. And
they turned out to have pivotal impacts on
the Apple products are designed and built.

31. youth: grew up in late 60s and influenced by

32. After earning enough money, Steve Jobs
travelled to India with a friend to look for
holy gurus Kainchi ashram and Neem
Karoli Baba to learn about life. The pair
eventually wandered across India with
shaved heads and few possessions in hope
of seeking spiritual solace and
enlightenment.
In his later years Steve remains dedicated
to spiritualism practices. He would regularly
visitor a Shinto priest whom acted as his
mentor, became a vegetarian, and lead a
non-extravagant life style. He remains very
much obsessed with ideologies and
achieving something great. At all costs.

Portland, Oregon (as expensive as
Stanford), but after 6 months he dropped
out.
"I decided to take a calligraphy class. I
learned about serif and san serif typefaces,
about varying the amount of space between
different letter combinations, about what
makes great typography great. It was
beautiful, historical, artistically subtle in a
way that science can't capture, and I found
it fascinating."
"If I had never dropped in on that single
course in college, the Mac would have
never had multiple typefaces or

Windows just copied the Mac, its likely that
no personal computer would have them."
