2. History Of Cupcakes
Cupcakes were first invented in the late
1800s and the early 1900s.
They were originally named cupcakes
because, people would scope out cake
batter into cups and that is how they
measured how much cake batter to use.
The first person to ever invent cupcakes
was Baron Von Cupencak!
3. Food historians do know that the term
"cupcake" first appeared in 1828. This is from
Wikipedia:
"The term "cupcake" was first mentioned in
1828 in Eliza Leslie's Receipts cookbook. In the
early 19th century, there were two different
uses for the name "cup cake" or "cupcake". In
previous centuries, before muffin tins were
widely available, the cakes were often baked
in individual pottery cups, ramekins, or molds
and took their name from the cups they were
baked in.
6. Instructions
• Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick
pans). Makes about 24 cupcakes.
• Cake mix of Betty Crocker® Super Moist®
strawberry cake mix.
• Water, vegetable oil, and eggs. And anything
else that may be called for on your cupcakes.
• Put a cupcake liner in each whole on the
cupcake pan. And use a spoon to put cake mix
in each of the liners.
7. • Bake cupcakes for 20 minutes.
• To check if your cupcakes are done, stick a
tooth pick into each one of them.
• After finished let cool, and prepare for icing.
• Put icing on each of the cupcakes either with a
cupcake bag, or a spatula.
• You can make your cupcakes special by adding
sprinkles, or drawing on them.
