•Tener + ganas + de + an infinitive.
1. I feel like eating something.
• Tengo ganas de comer algo.
2. Do you feel like going to the movies?
• ¿Tienes ganas de ir al cine?
Use “tener ganas de” + an infinitive
to talk about what you feel like doing.
Tener Idioms
•Tener idioms in Spanish do not directly
translate. The verb tener is used to express
“to be” for certain expressions in English!
•That's because tener, the verb meaning "to
have" in the sense of "to possess” is
frequently used in idioms to refer to a wide
range of emotions and other states of being.
