Guess Who? In this speaking activity, students use present continuous yes/no questions to guess a mystery person. Before class, make one copy of the worksheet for each student. Procedure Divide the students into pairs and give each student a copy of the worksheet. Tell the class that you are thinking of one of the people on the worksheet. Have the students ask you present continuous third-person yes/no questions to try to find out which person you are thinking of. Tell them they can ask up to five questions and then they must guess who the person is. For example: Q: Is he watching TV? A: Yes, he is. Q: Is he wearing a shirt? A: No, he isn't. Q: Is he wearing jeans? A: Yes, he is. Q: Is he George White? A: That's right! Have the students take it in turns to choose one person from the chart. They must not say who it is. Their partner asks up to five questions to try to find out the other student’s secret person. A correct answer wins one point. The student with the most points at the end is the winner.
