1. Opening sequences
Drama about successful asset manager Derek, whose life becomes a living hell when he hires a
beautiful but apparently unhinged temp. As office temp Lisa becomes more fixated with her boss, she
goes to increasingly extreme lengths to win his attention. As flirting turns into aggressive come-ons
and fully fledged stalking, Derek's wife realizes that a fight is on to keep her family from the blonde's
clutches.
A reclusive author who went deaf as a teenager finds herself
hunted by a deranged masked killer inside her isolated home,
sending her into a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse in order to
survive the night. Mike Flanagan directed this horror thriller, with
John Gallagher Jr. co-starring
In New York, Dr. Juliet Bliss Devereau of the Brooklyn General
Hospital has ended her relationship with her boyfriend Jack and is
seeking an apartment in Brooklyn to live alone. She finds a
bargain in an old apartment building owned by the handsome and lonely Max and one night she
misinterprets his signals and dates him. However she concludes that it is too soon to have a love
affair. She learns that her landlord has formed a frightening obsession with her.

2. The opening scene of scene of obsessed shows a family moving into their new home which is located
in the suburbs. The scene portrays the family as a having a happy and loving bond; this is particularly
seen between the husband and wife as we see them standing side to side smiling with great passion.
From this we can assume that the director intended to create this pitch perfect atmosphere which
gives the audience the impression that is going to be a drastic change. Furthermore in the opening
the camera was positioned so that the husband was standing over his wife’s shoulder, this
foreshadows the general idea that someone is obsessed and could also relate protectiveness.
The opening scene of hush focuses on the main characters disability which is that she’s deaf, this is
evident as each individual sound is enhanced drastically. As a collective we thought that this was a
great film opening scene and we decided to include some similar aspects In our opening scene.
Furthermore in the opening scene the woman was shown distinctively cutting vegetables as the
camera was slightly zoomed in. this associates with danger, blood and maybe even death. This
foreshadows the main plot of the film and helps the audience to get an understanding of the
character.
In the opening scene of the resident a woman is shown jogging through a park in broad daylight then
suddenly shows a man bleeding out in a hospital. This scene is very intense and mysterious as the
audience has no idea or insight into how this mystery person ended up in this state. During the
opening scene many camera shots were used one of which was a low angle shot suggesting the
character is of great power and perhaps more dominant.
