We are a local 501(c)3 non-profit doing grassroots advocacy at the nexus of cultural rights and environmental protection throughout Hawai'i. We represent a broad, multi-generational, multi-cultural alliance of nearly 10,000 concerned individuals, kupuna, practitioners, advocates, organizers, educators, and resource experts working to protect Hawai'i's fragile environment and unique culture. In the last 10 years, KAHEA's work has helped secure permanent protections for over 140,000 square miles of Hawaiian oceans and lands.
