Three Hunger-Defying Breakfasts for Weight Loss
A rising number of people skip breakfast because of their need to rush to work or perform
household chores. However, we should not underestimate breakfast as a power meal. A
healthy meal in the morning can jumpstart our daily metabolism while keeping us energized.
Breakfast is a must, even when rushing. So here are some breakfast ideas for weight loss that
can ensure a healthy morning:
1) White egg omelette
If you are in a rush in the morning, you can prepare the white egg from five
eggs at night. Then you can just pour it in the frying pan with 1 tablespoon of
vegetable oil. You can vary your vegetables every day so that you will have a
different recipe. You may also place in some protein-packed foods, like chicken,
beef, or fish, but pay attention to the fat and sodium content.
2) Whole Grain Cereal
You can eat it by itself, and it provides a good source of fiber and fortified
vitamins. However serving it with milk can really provide extra nutrition. An
alternative to cereals is oatmeal, although oatmeal takes time to cook. Still,
even hot cereal only takes a minute or two to prepare, and you can take it
with you to your job site.
3) Wheat bread sandwich
Two slices wheat bread -- especially those embedded with raisins –
provide you a carbohydrate-packed breakfast. The carbohydrates in wheat
bread are easy to digest, thus giving a ready source of energy. Put lean
meat in between one or two slices, or add a scrambled egg white with a
slice of low-fat cheese. By the way, if you’re going to eat carbs, the
morning is the best time to do it!
