Foreign policy is a set of goals outlining how the country will interact with other countries economically, politically, socially and militarily, and to a lesser extent, how the country will interact with non-state actors.

Should foreign policy have an expiration date?

PRO: -New policies would help deal with current issues as oppose to using old policies that deal with issues from the past

- If policies were amended every certain amount of years, it would give a chance for change of the better to occur

CONS: If foreign policy was changed every couple of years than the old policies which have worked and resolved issues in the past will be forgotten and it may help certain situations.

Having an expiration date could led other countries to take advantage and know that our policy would be changing, so they could plan to sabotage any plans the United States would have to make.
