  2. 2. This article reviewed several faux pas grads may inadvertantly make upon entering the workforce…<br />FIRST: If you are using a company computer or phone, you must adhere to their rules! Cell phone use may be restricted to breaks and misuse of cell phones or computers may result in termination.<br />Tips when using a company email address or personal emails at work:<br /><ul><li>NEVER forward anything for entertainment purposes (no youtube videos or pictures)
  3. 3. Only forward business related emails</li></ul> when appropriate and sparingly<br /><ul><li>Don’t log on to any personal pages, </li></ul>unless work related (FaceBook, blogs, <br />MySpace)<br />

Txting @ wrk…<br />Realize that just because your boss may text during a meeting, doesn’t mean you should<br />Don’t use texting acronyms (brb, ttyl, etc.)<br />Still use appropriate grammar<br />Only text during business hours, just because it’s texting doesn’t mean you should text your boss at 10 pm questions about a report<br />

Some other gr8 cell phone tips…<br />“Select an appropriate ring tone for your work environment<br />Record a professional voicemail greeting<br />Turn it off during meetings, even vibrating cell phones can be distracting<br />Avoid laying it down on a table or desk, especially in front of clients. Leave it in your briefcase, purse, holster.”<br />
  6. 6. Review of Article<br />Overall this article had several good tips that I hadn’t considered, such as ringtone selection and voicemail message.<br />It was clear and easy to read.<br />Didn’t give a lot of details, it could’ve expanded more on some of the points.<br />
